Dovetail Games Instructions For Playstation Players Who Don't Own Tsw 4

So if after following these steps, incl immediate cancel/delete, as long as the routes say "purchased" on the TSW4 dlc page, we should be good to go for TSW5 version downloads

 

So for the ones we already have TSW4, to update to TSW5 - of course apart from purchasing it -, we goes to PS Store (digital one), and select the "TSW5 compatible add-on" version from previous TSW4 we had already purchased, and download them.
I am right?

Note: That was the "procedure" when updating from TSW3 to TSW4.

 

When tsw4 released I somehow was able to claim a free dlc in the form of the American shutter for peninsular corridor but unlike most DLCs it does not say I own it on the previous games I am hoping it will transfer to tsw5 and if you could verify this it would be great ( I’m on ps5)

 

When can we download TSW5 on Playstation

 

It’s in my purchase history as it was free when i was upgrading all my tsw3 dlcs to tsw4 at launch but I didn’t own it prior to seeing it say that it was free

 

Just to confirm I only have access to this dlc on tsw4 and no older versions

 

I'm still on PS4 but considering getting a PS5 as well for a better experience on TSW5. I was wondering how I go about changing over? Thanks.

 

The easiest way to do this seems to be in the PSN mobile app. If you just go into TSW4 and scroll down the Add-Ons, they will appear as one of: Unavailable (if you have it installed already), Purchased (if you have it in your library, but haven't installed), Free (if you own it in a previous version and haven't claimed it), or with a price. Just go into any that say Free, and click the "Add to Library". Job's a good un.

 

I noticed something weird when I did the pre-load for PS5 - when I look at add-ons under TSW5 a bunch of my TSW4 add ons are listed under TSW5 as “shared with TSW4”.

It seems to have taken the DLC I already have installed for TSW4. I thought I’d have to re-download them? I’m curious what happens when I fire up TSW5, if those DLC will be there…

 

I noticed this “shared with TSW4” thingy as well. Can someone from DTG please give some explanation about this? Does this indeed mean we do not need to download TSW5 versions of old DLC? That would be great, but if so, how do we then go about deleting TSW4? Won’t all TSW4 dlc’s be deleted automatically when we uninstall TSW4?

And if we do need new TSW5 versions of all old DLC’s, when will those be available? Today? Or on sep 17?

 

I believe only steam will have access to the add ons in early access for consoles I belive add ons will be avaliable from the 17th

 

I'm already start the game, but I put beginner by mistake. I should import my stuff into the new one. How can I import my stuff?

 

Thanks, and yeah I can now confirm that none of those add ons appear in the game itself.

Is anyone looking into the profile import issue that seems to be effecting many PS5 players?

Is the situation with shared maps from TSW4 already known? Couldn't this be why PS5 users of TSW5 are reporting performance issues etc?

 

And what we need to do when you press the “download” button and it starts downloading the TSW4 Addon?

 

This is what’s happening to me on Ps5 in North America. Some routes only downloading TSW4 version

But my problem is that some of the Tsw5 Addons are not downloading at all

 

I’ve had this problem for the GOBLIN DLC

 

I started downloading TSW 5 Compatible addons from playstation store and some still have TSW4 icon....is that ok???

 

That’s exactly my problem!

 

Same problem here (the Netherlands): most of the downloads are only TSW3 or 4. Only a few have the TSW5 logo.

 

After clicking “Download”, some addons start downloading as a TSW5 addon, but others are still the TSW4 version

I've had this when downloading LIRR

 

Same got a whole mixture of TSW 4 and TSW 5 icons in download queue.

 

The question is whether it's just a matter of an incorrectly inserted icon or it won't work under TSW5

I see a lot of routes with TSW4 icons in my download queue. I ended up using the “cancel and delete” and am prioritizing stuff with TSW5 icons until we figure out what’s going on

 

Appears it’s working fine despite being TSW4 branded..

 

Have the same. Hamburg-Lübeck with TSW4 Icon but its appears ingame. So i guess just wrong buttons

 

I tried one route which had the TSW4 logo. It didn’t appear in the game.

Appears to be correct I just installed Bernina Line with a TSW 4 icon but has made it to main menu.

 

I think DTG sorting out the tile branding might help with the confusion, I’ve downloaded the Suffragette Line and the 710 is working in game, but Christ it looks awful in Euston, the lighting is still abhorrent in places.

 

For me it doesnt appear, that is strange

Very strange not sure what is going on. I have Bernina Line installed on TSW 5 but on PS5 in manage game content have a second one from the previous game also with a TSW 4 icon still in there saying not installed. Think I need to go for a walk!
