I think the thread starter's question has already been answered - no, there is no such mod.

dtg_jan Imho the thread should be locked.

One thing that makes the Harlem Line easier and smoother, is simply because you can ACTUALLY see the cab signal transponders on the track, and know to when to potentially expect a signal downgrade. (Speed limits aside), makes it hard to know where signal/speed downgrades are. I have to use nearby landmarks instead.

People also need to stop implying that DTG could've bullied MTA out of mandatory safety systems because DB or the UK companies don't require it. Every company is different and makes different decisions about how to protect their brand. We have to remember the MTA is based in NYC in a post-9/11 world. They have been conditioned for over 20 years to be a lot more sensitive about security issues on their transportation systems. DB or SE might not be bothered by or even notice train crash compilations on Youtube. But I can guarantee if someone uploaded such a video on YT that included an MTA train and had even 50 views, officers and agents with NYPD and US Dept of Homeland Security threat assessment centers would be reaching out to MTA for a full assessment and report of how possible this would be in real life. NY has also had problems as of late with young troublemakers mugging staff for train keys and actually joyriding NYC subway trains for short distances. MTA has good reason to be more paranoid than other operators. So let's just accept that it it what it is and stop asking people to do something that risks us never driving an MTA train again, and potentially losing LIRR2, even for those of us who purchased it, or losing modding.

ATC and ACSES aren't even that hard. Follow the lowest number. If ATC goes down, reduce to coast. The train will brake for you. If ACSES goes off, 40% or more brake reduction. Hit Q once you've done either of those. Finally, yes it's a game. But it's also a simulator. We play this game because the trains are realistic. We don't get mad because you can't run a red signal or that you can't take a Pacer up to 200mph. We don't get mad about point deductions for speeding. Safety systems are part of this realism. The game has honestly been dumbing itself down by letting safety systems be optional to be able to appeal to younger players who can't figure them out.

So Tl;dr: post is pointless, and stop making them lest we awaken MTA's lawyers. They have very good lawyers.

They're done by radio on LIRR, nothing on the track.
