you should also enable provider AP for the routes which can easy be done with TS Tools under; Tool create route-remove provider
from route as you can not only remove but also add providers.

 

That's for specific scenarios, yeah, but for quickdrive AP has already provided the mentioned weather blueprints in the core folder.

It's all in the manual. Just read it.

Maybe you can find someone to assist you with TeamViewer. There's something fundamental you're doing wrong.

You do have DynamicLights turned on? Don't ever turn this option off.

There's nothing wrong with AP pack, we're all using it.

 

I don't necessarily think there is but maybe there's something I'm doing wrong and AP can help me figure it out finally.

No-support basis ok but if something isn't working out the way it's meant to work out then I think it is the responsibility of the provider to offer assistance on a purchased service (or good).

And yes I read the manual, that's why I don't understand why this black distant terrain and black mountains problem hasn't been fixed.

This all becomes a bit annoying. You don't seem to understand that you are doing it wrong, not AP.

This is exactly why support will first advise you to do a Steam verification. You can't give support if the users mess up the game themselves.

 

I don't know WHAT I'm doing wrong since I followed all of their instructions in the manual already. Everything you and others have told me to do (like copy-paste the AP ToD files in the appropriate ToD for a given route) I've already done ages ago yet it hasn't solved the issue. When it comes to playing around with weather blueprints, that's not something I've done but then again I'm told that it isn't necessary.

I do understand, I did EXACTLY what I was told to do yet this black scenery issue continues. This is why this is so frustrating.

 

At this point I recommend you to do a Steam verification, then install the mods again.

I already did a Steam verification and installed the mods again, same result.

I actually totally forgot about that post from 3 years ago, thank you for reminding me. I will try a few more things than contact AP and some of the users on that post.

Can be worth trying Vulkan, I hope it helps.

I do but at a much slower pace. SimRail and TSW makes it hard to continue any work in TSC, but I keep coming back

 

I've just tried Vulkan, honestly it's much better and at least the distant scenery is no longer black although it is somewhat blurry and still not as good as I would hope it would be but it's an improvement. I think I can settle for this for now.

Ok, we can talk about it via inbox if you prefer. I tried messaging you on Discord last year but you didn't reply so I thought you were no longer involved with TSC. I will always prefer it over Simrail and TSW but to each his own.

If you are doing it the right way and it just isn't working, make sure that AP/WeatherEP is ticked in the route editor, then edit the RouteProperties.xml file in the route's folder so that Summer.xml, Autumn.xml, etcetera all have the provider as AP and the product as WeatherEP. It isn't the official method but as a last resort it should work.
