It's the same exact sound. The only thing they changed about the sound is the notch 3 revs being higher.

No it hasn’t. Still horrendous flange squeal. I tried it last week and as a result makes it unplayable. So annoying. So many people comment on this but it goes ignored.

Did not see anything in this thread on the Scotland route, but the neutral sections are fixed with this patch. They still have not changed that incorrect speed on the bridge between Linlithgow and the last stop before Edinburgh, it still throws an 80 mph at us when the speed board clearly says MU 90.

Yep would be good to get confirmation that the list of outstanding issues that was supplied to Jasper on another thread is being worked on.

We have them added to our bugtracking software, there's just nothing I can add to that at the moment. Sorry!

Any statement to make on the appalling sound of the Class 150 on WCL? The flange squeal is horrendous.

I know - I've been reminding people again and again, will remind our and Dovetails devs again about this.

So Edinburgh to Glasgow is just another classic fire and forget, half ar5ed job then. Don’t think I shall be making any further day one purchases, getting boring now.

Re the 1938 stock, decided to chance £6.00 on this in the sale and am actually quite pleased with it now.

They have come up trumps with the track sound and it also seems to be generating reverb in the tunnels, which I can't recall hearing with the 1972 stock.

The run down traction sound during rheostatic braking still seems to be missing or at least is inaudible. There's a slight physics bug with wheelslip when you notch up into parallel or if you do that before 13 MPH when you pass that speed. Also both the head and tail lights seem to be lit on the front end and I can't find the switch for the latter.

However it is considerably improved and I look forward to spending a bit more time driving it.

I am tempted to get this. It looks nice but not being a huge fan of underground routes I have held off. It does have a charm and having just watched a video of the real thing on Youtube I might go for it. A backdated post war Bakerloo line would be quite lovely route to have I think.

If, as it seems, they have cracked the Bakerloo stock and could fettle the run down sound, I'd like to see a late 60's/early 70's Northern Line with it.

Just bought the 1938 stock and it is indeed a very good model and the sounds seem better than the 1972 stock without the community patch.

Definately would love a period route for it as it looks a bit incongruous on the Bakerloo with the modern signs, displays and buildings.

Sursee is a lovely route but could do with some freight.

Yes I caved and bought Sursee as well, though think I may be going “Off The Rails” with the 110 and N wagons for a more pleasant driving experience!

I bought Edinburgh - Glasgow in the sale and am completely dumbfounded to find that even after the patch there are essentially no rain effects on the 385’s windscreen. How has that not been sorted out, and will it ever be? It really spoils what is otherwise quite a nice route, especially when there’s a journey chapter dedicated to the Scottish weather.

It would also be really neat if someone could teach Rivet how to get rid of the blue flash at tunnel entrance and exit, as they seem to be the only dev struggling with it. It’s even there on Glossop.

Glossop isn't a rivet dlc. They might have helped but it's still mainly dtg who is responsible

My understanding is Rivet built the route and DTG provided the unit and the gameplay, just as on Cathcart Circle. In that case it is Rivet who are responsible for the tunnels.

I thought they had just helped out with the scenery on Cathcart, I hadn't realised they had built the route. I wasn't aware they had built Glossop either, interesting if they have.

Well, ‘built’ or ‘helped out’ with, both include the tunnels. These blue flashes now only seem to appear on routes Rivet have been involved with.

Ah okay, makes sense as I have too noticed them on Glossop and Glasgow to Edinburgh.

I’m just trying to find the part on TrainSimTV’s vid where he said Rivet had made (or been involved with) the route.

The raindrops thing is unforgivable though. It ruins the immersion of the whole route.

    17:30 into that video.

Weirdly I’ve just seen raindrops settling on the window when the train is stationary. As soon as it’s moving though nothing. Such a shame.

I actually think Rivet’s route building is very good, but they let themselves down with silly little mistakes or omissions like those mentioned.

The Class 150 sounds are still nowhere near acceptable or realistic. Especially the initial engine surge / revs.

The tail lights remain on in between joined units, the reverser selector moves the wrong way, The DSD still sounds when you’ve been using the brake controller which is incorrect. Internal brake rub sound ( one of the most important sound effects) is still missing, track joints are incorrect, flange squeal is incorrect, brake squeal when coming to a stop initiates at too high a speed and loops really badly. Brake force is too strong in step 1 ( especially at higher speed ) it should be about 10-20% less effective than present at most speeds. Should only be as strong as it currently is in the lower speeds ….do some research on tread brake behaviour and you’ll see what I mean.

Driver camera viewpoint is too low. Feels like you’re squatting down on the floor.

This feedback has been provided many times but never rectified :(
