Yes I see he is already active...

Anyhow this roadmap is so underwhelming I'm actually reinstalling SimRail and contemplating rebuying the ET22. Apart from the 218 there literally is nothing. I really cannot share the excitement about the 380 or Glasgow Central, yes the CCL rework looks nice but it will still be the same old stopping service stations every 90 seconds or so round the circle. Not to mention the goodies that both Snowrunner and SCS with ETS2 and ATS seem to be showering us with at the moment!

Are there any plans to resolve and remove the constantly badgering alerter beeping of AI trains on the New York - Trenton route?

    Hi DTG

Why is another German line being built?
We have so many German and English and Scottish ones.

Will there ever be an SBB route for TSW4 with SBB rolling stock?
I know someone who has created super great SBB trains.

Dtg build what they want. They have the expertise, knowledge and licenses for german content. Venturing into other territories requires licenses and 3rd parties because learning all about the territory and route is a ton of work. Dtg will focus on the big 3.

Any swiss content depends entirely on rivet since they are the experts for swiss content and the only developer making it.

you will have to ask the French government about the road ;) but pretty sure another french route was talked about by DTG Matt in a stream.

    Hello everyone,

I've gone through and timestamped the June 2024 Roadmap last night, which highlights answers to many questions from this thread, as well as answers we were asked live during the evening that you can skim through.

As for the remaining questions in this thread unanswered, I will talk about these below, and then close the thread.
(Thank you to our team, chat moderators and some of you in the community who have provided answers to many!)

Just a quick mention that anything regarding new content that we've not yet shared details about, we won't be able to answer directly. The best place to find out about news for new upcoming releases is on our articles and within these monthly Roadmap updates.

Q: Could you go into detail on the LAMP process again?
This is a topic we're intending to dive back into on an upcoming roadmap, last night Matt shared some great insight into how this works, and where community suggestions tie into the process at 1:17:00 on our livestream.

Q: Is Dovetail currently working on further improvements to steam physics?

We briefly discussed this on our roadmap live stream at 1:26:00, currently, we aren't working on any improvements to the Steam physics system within Train Sim World as we prioritise other areas of development and improvements to key features, such as Suspension.

Q: More information on FCL improvements and JT's new route?
We shared an update earlier in May with many Fife Circle Line improvements, which you can read on our May 14th Patch Notes. Future improvements will likely come in accordance with the Leven branch update Rivet Games are beginning work on now.
Regarding the upcoming Just Trains, we'll be sharing more information on this soon, so keep an eye out in future roadmaps.

Q: Is there any news on trying to put class 710 on bakerloo line
Nothing to share yet, we'll keep you updated!

Q: Regarding Long tunnels, why is there a light at the end of the tunnels? (such as in Bakerloo / SEHS)
This is partly due to how the simulation renders lighting when travelling into and out of tunnels, however, it probably warrants a deeper explanation which we can look to dive into for our next roadmap!

Q: Any updates on PC Editor Improvements?
Currently, we're still working on the PC Editor key fixes, and finding time from our teams to implement these. We'll keep you updated on when you can expect these.

Q: Will the ScotRail Class 158 and 380 be separate Add-ons to their base routes?
Yes, both of these loco add-ons will be additional purchases on top of their home routes. For example, for owners of the Cathcart Circle, they can receive the remaster update for free, however the ScotRail Class 380 will be an additional add-on.

Q: Now that we've had two routes remastered, any idea which ones you'd probably do next?
You're not getting any leaks from me!

Q: Why do we share the Q&A's during the day of the roadmap and not earlier?
Typically, we tend to share the Q&A thread a few hours prior to the roadmap article, because we've found in the past that opening these threads up too soon is counter-intuitive, as many questions either get answered (or updated on) when the roadmap articles release anyway.
I think the format we currently have, where questions can come in a good 4-6 hours or so before the roadmap livestream, and then the thread remains open until the next day, provides enough of a window to address player questions and give detailed responses. The process of adding in these questions was something quite new based on community suggestions, and we're always looking at how to make the community feel heard.

Have a great weekend everyone! :)
