I would like to say a big thank you to JTs and Tom for bringing this route to TSW4. The first of many JTs creations for the game, I am sure. From his TSC videos, we all know how hard Tom works with his route building projects and has an excellent eye for accurate detail. From the pictures issued, which look absolutely stunning, I know we will have a route to fully justify the asking price and I cannot wait to purchase it twice, for both xbox and steam. Thank you again, Tom for all your hard work.

  2. Well said.

It looks truly amazing and although I am not a fan of bus on rails LOL I'm sure I will slide in to it and enbjoy every second of what I hated haha

I enjoy the Midland Mainline (158 I'm talking about but the other equipment too)and I really never used to like driving the similar one we have in Australia. Really.

Are we getting BR blue coach stock or locomotives with this?

If you read the OP and the JT page it says it comes with the Blue 08, Blue 47 from ntp, the pacer and BR blue coaching stock along with layers from other routes :)

  4. Would you like the West Coast Main Line over Shap route as it is same time I think? As in Train Simulator Classic... yes I know getting side tracked here... ROFL.. no pun intended... choo choo

There are tap changer locomotives. Also WCML North has them and some beaut freight scenarios.

I would prefer the next UK routes to be something not in TSC like Manchester via Airport or Stockport to Crewe, set in the same era as Liverpool to Crewe so we can run any loco on the route. I have already suggested this route in the suggestions!

Going via Manchester Airport in that era might be a bit tricky - the station wasn’t built until 1993! :)

I do agree with you generally, though, in your preference for different routes to those in TSC. Manchester - Crewe via Stockport would be good.

Right or wrong, at least check Trainsimulatordriver on YouTube and his prize comparison to other train simulators and other games. Then make your choice. I preordered TSW 4 and got a 25 % discount as I own TSW 3. I won't argue with you. Just see for yourself.

Looks good :) My only observation is that in the photograph the floor looks like it consisted of tiles (of some sort of light stone?)

I had initially done it as tiles but a picture in 1986 showed it more being this material

Fair enough, that makes sense! Just thought to feed back what I saw :D Interesting though, probably they ripped out the tiles at some point then

I remember from when I was younger, Bradford Interchange had a similar type of flooring. From what I recall it was a black rubber type material.

Once this route releases is when I’ll buy TSW4. Going to hold off for a while. This route looks very incredible.

Same here zero interest in TS4 day one stuff but it's a a gamble on the pricing as pre release with discount may be better than BPO release day price for TS4....

Looks very impressive, everything we got to see by now. Cant wait to drive on that route.

I agree, it looks a touch too clean. Still good work.

I'm hoping they do a bundle with BPO in but I'm not holding out much hope.

All of the pictures I’ve seen of this route look superb, and this one’s no exception. My only tiny criticism is, as others have said, it’s a bit too clean. Looking at the pictures of Blackpool South earlier in the thread, it has bits of litter lying around, a puddle on the platform, overgrown areas etc - it looks perfect. Some of the other stations (including Preston and Blackpool North) don’t have that, and they would benefit from it hugely. In reality, no publicly accessible area is immaculate - least of all a BR station in the 80s!

The modern TSW routes never look realistic because everything is squeaky clean - which I guess is so as not to upset the operators who gave permission to use their liveries. One of the great things about re-creating routes from an earlier era is you don’t have to worry about that - please take full advantage!

The BR Diesels made by DTG are brilliant and quite feature rich, i like all of them. Basicly it was the reason which brought me to tsw, but since then neither a BR route nor a new loco came out made by DTG.

So i really have hope with JT, the legendary class 25 might find its way to TSW. Below a pic of the Silver Hammer Railtour 1985, found the pic at flickr. There could even a timetable rework of the NTP route, with the cl31 included and finally a.i services.

A 25 or any Sulzer Type 2 would be a Day One purchase for me. Sounds have to be correct of course which sadly the TSC versions didn’t quite achieve.

That looks great. It does remind me of how it used to be. I could just picture the long lines of people waiting for the trains. I'm glad that the website was some use.

This route looks very promising, that's one of the main reasons I bought TSW4 !

I'm eager to drive the long-awaited Pacer ! I hope it will be compatible with the new suspension physics.

Plenty of 25s in preservation, shouldn't be too difficult to record one.

A 25 wouldn't just be a day one purchase for me, it would be a "Watch the PlayStation store like a hawk until it's available" purchase for me haha. My favourite class of loco.

Definitely shaping up to be the most interesting route in TSW 4 so far.

I am buzzing for this route. Can’t wait. JT have always provided a high level DLC for TSC and now it seems they will for TSW as well! Hats off to you all. :)

507 and 508 were indeed correct for Merseyrail in 1986. The 508s had briefly worked out of London Waterloo around 5 or 6 years before until class 455s entered service.

I hope the flag on top of the Blackpool Tower moves in the wind. It's just those little touches.

I was pointing out the humour of it, rather than having a dig, but yeah you enjoy measuring the wind speed & direction of flags in your train sim.

    Dam

Reminds me of my days of trying to find every little inconsitancy in Hearts of Iron 4...

Wait.... I still do that now?

Personally I don't personally mind if JT dosen't want to include the perfect climate based wind.... but I mean - If JT do it im sure nobody will complain?

Just a quick concern after briefly trying the 142 on the Huddersfield route in TSC last night. With no disrespect to that versions author I hope it wasn’t the basis for the version we are getting with BPO? It seemed very flat, particularly the sounds with very little discernible change in engine note going all the way from idle to Notch 7. No opening doors or windows in the cab either which, as an aside, is another reason why it’s increasingly difficult to go back to TSC.

Vehicles for tsw (should) have the reference material taken from real trains, for sure not from a substandard product in train sim classic.

Im sure jt is aware of the features of this franchais. We saw what happend with rivets class 150.

The version of the 142 Pacer in TSC is very old. AP/Wagonz did an enhancement for it but it was withdrawn earlier this year and will be replaced at some point with a newer pack.

Those screenshots look fantastic. The one of the class 101 reminds me of a photo in one of the platform 5 spotters books, it looks very real.

Any news on the class 47 headlight? Not that it will put me off buying the route day one if it doesn’t have it :). Just curious

Yes I agree. The screenshots are some of the best I've seen in the game.
Really looking forward to driving the 101 on this route. One of my favorite locos.
