Thanks a bunch for posting this. My finger was poised over the buy button for tomorrow, but now I will wait until the patch comes through.

I've been using my RD for as long as I can remember and I'm not about to go back to a mouse and keyboard now, even for the one train.

I can't believe this was missed. Someone should be taken to the woodshed.

 

Its not ideal but its a littlebit overdone here in some reactions! They have the plan to bring it ASAP with the post release update so if you not happy with it wait a few days or weeks than it will come. Its not there is no support at all. Not everything in the world thats diffrent than expected is directly the end of youre life. Keep breething

 

Uh. Yet another certified apologist. What's the forum coming to I ask? Used to be only DTG got a mulligan. Now it's any developer.

 

For me it just confirms my intention to drive the locals primarily with the 101 (which is brilliant with RailDriver) and still very much a day-one purchase, but I do understand the disappointment of those with RailDrivers who were particularly buying the route for the 142. Still, it sounds is if it’ll be fixed, so that’s good.

 

no raildriver support. That's a deal breaker for me until a patch comes. Thank you for the informaton. At least it was mentined before release.. I can wait. Now back to playing NYT new timetable

 

Interesting cab ride below detailing braking points etc for part of the route. Modern day though, but bits may come in handy for any hudless drivers...



Looking forward to tomorrow, just been watching a few more streams and have been increasingly impressed. The detail is incredible.

 

Is Blackpool pleasure beach station included ?

 

It is not, as it didn't exist in 1986.

No but the Mastery Reward is it under construction.

 

Also a confirmed Rail Drive user, so will not purchase until the patch including it comes out. It's not on sale anyway so waiting won't cost more.

Is it just the pacer without rail driver support? Are the other trains ok?

 

Yes, by the sound of it all of the other trains will work fine.

 

Does the new suspension apply to all trains on the route, or just the Pacer?

 

Well let’s hope if that’s case 150/2 properly setup then as per Armstrong powerhouse 150/2

 

It is a fantastic train once you get used to it. It also drives very nicely on Diesel Railcar Simulator which focuses on the Class 101 and it's derivatives. On some ways it is modelled better than DTGs efforts. It has moving suspension and better modelled brakes. They have the additional sharpness at low speeds. Similar to what JT have done with the Pacer brakes.

I don’t understand why it wasn’t available for preorder. I wanted to download it while I was at work so I could play when I got home, but it’s still not showing up. Pretty much guarantees I won’t be able to play it tonight.

DRS is great, but I must admit I drive the TSW 101 more. I love the photorealistic cab - it just places me right there, back in the 1980s. While I accept the DRS modelling of the brakes is a little more sophisticated, the brakes on the TSW version are still nicely done, as is pretty much everything else about the unit. Given it’s added complexities, I still rate it as the best unit or loco in TSW.

 

According to Steam it unlocks in 5 hours. added to wish-list, no buying option at the moment...

 

That's correct. It's scheduled to be available/released at 4pm.
