CP Rail's spiral tunnels on the Laggan sub are an amazing site to behold and the scenery is stunning beyond belief. Some epic railroading here
Would be a great route to see in TSW or at least 50 or 60 miles of it. Take the era back to when VIA were still running the Canadian via Banff. Also need to capture the unique sounding CP horns, that send a tingle up your spine.
Locos to include: VIA F40PH for the Canadian, CP ES44AC or AC4400CW(M), CP SD70ACU (including military liveries), CP SD40-2/SD40-2F, CP SD60/SD60M, CP GP38-2. The rebuilt SD30C-ECOs and GP20C-ECOs would be cool to see.
Are you trying to have TS 22 Canadian Mountain Pass route arrive for TSW 2? For the sister game, TS 22 version it's 250 km155 mi from end to end think of it as a longer Sand Patch Grade Cumberland, MD to Pittsburgh, PA via Connelsville, PA. This will affect Sand Patch Grade by allowing Calgary, AB to Baltimore, MD freights on that route and use ES44AC Canadian Pacific as a substitute for CSX locomotives. The Canadian Pacific ES44AC can be made from Norfolk Southern ES44AC to save time. Worst case scenario use Dynamic Independent and Air Brakes to slow down by walking to the whole set
The problem I always have with suggesting Kicking Horse Pass is that as scenic as it is it really wouldn't have much variety. There's not really any industry or yards to interact with, it's pretty much just main line runs, it would end up being a one trick pony.
And that's one of the key reasons why I dislike Sand Patch Grade. I vastly prefer Peninsula Corridor with the DLC because it has a good mix of freight and passenger work on it. And even among freight routes Clinchfield has a variety of branches included, each having their own unique set of services.
