Hi Dovetail Games team and fellow fans, I'm writing to request Korean language support for Thomas & Friends™: Wonders of Sodor. I'm part of a group of dedicated Korean Thomas & Friends fans who have been watching the series for nearly 20 years. We've spent years creating fan translations of episodes and specials that were never officially released in Korea, which has given us a deep understanding of Thomas & Friends' unique terminology, character voices, and tone — the kind of knowledge that only comes from years of genuine passion for the franchise. We'd like to point out that the game already supports Japanese and Simplified Chinese. These languages, like Korean, are non-Latin Asian scripts that require the same kind of Unicode text rendering system. This means the core technical infrastructure needed to display Korean text is very likely already in place. Adding Korean would not require building a new system from scratch — it would simply be a matter of adding the translation and ensuring font coverage for Korean characters. In other words, Korean is arguably the most natural next language to add given what's already supported. We'd also like to highlight a potential commercial opportunity. A new Thomas & Friends series is scheduled to launch soon, and official Thomas & Friends products have recently received KC certification in South Korea, suggesting that the franchise is preparing for a more active presence in the Korean market. We believe this is a good time for Wonders of Sodor to be available in Korean, so that new and returning Korean fans can enjoy the game alongside the franchise's fresh start in the region. Most importantly — we are fully prepared to provide a complete, high-quality Korean translation of the game entirely for free. No cost to your team, just fans who want to share this wonderful game with the Korean-speaking community. We've already reached out via the partnership email, but wanted to make this request publicly here as well.
