Early privatisation was a really cool time for the railways but the issue you run into with that is quite a few companies of those who ran in privatisation still exist today (like Virgin for example) and so could be a bit of a licencing minefield trying to get licences for them.

Would definitely like to see that era :)

Personally I would like to see Dover Western Docks with the last of the rail ferries, with a class 73 and 4CEP

Eurostar to Waterloo before HS1 was complete would also be great

Early to mid 1990s would be fab. Regional Railways, Intercity, NSE, ScotRail. Birmingham to Peterborough, Regional Railways 156/150/158/153. Fab.

Yeah, I’d go for BR sectors rather than early privatisation - still a wide variety of liveries and rolling stock, but without the licensing issues (?)

Anything is better than post 2010, though I’m happiest in BR Blue (or sectorisation) basically from 1968 to 1994.
