Does anyone if RailTraction has sales? I have my eyes on the BR 430.
Just looking at their page now under the sales tab and it shows there https://www.railtraction.eu/sale.html
Yep. I've had the met line + S7 in my wishlist for as long as it's been available, could never justify buying it at full price and always had other priorities at sale times, now with the VDL phase 3 released I've been sorely tempted yet again to buy it, with the sale price and points I got it for 25 quid, that'll do me...
I know that... i was asking if RailTraction does discount/sales? Some websites do, others don't, and because i'm not familiar with RailTraction i don't know...
Must admit I was hoping western mainlines would be discounted as quite a few freeware routes rely on it.
The last two sales on Steam, theHalloween and this Black Friday sale, I have noticed that the discounts on products have been reduced. Many items that had a discount of 35% in the summer sale now only have a discount of 20%. Perhaps gone are the days of decent discounts.
I am holding out on one or two items. Better discounts may return in the Winter Sale next month. There are only one or two remaining items that are important from a Europe standpoint, and I always keep an eye on the best sales prices to pull the trigger on a buy.
As Cyclone says, if you can, wait until Xmas sale. The Xmas and Summer Sales are the best times to buy from Steam and Xmas sale *should* start Dec.22- Jan. 5--not far away
It seems to me that DTG are now slower to deep discount newer DLC. They are also discounting 3rd party stuff they publish less. Can't say I'm surprised.
The better discounts only seem to be in the Summer and Xmas Sales
People assume "Black Friday Sale" there will be lots of discounts
The Cross City route for example is now dearer than in the Summer sale
Poor Sale, my wallet will stay firmly in my pocket.
I am finding it very confusing trying to make sure routes I have purchased from Just Trains I do not duplicate. the same with Matrix coach sets I purchased years ago are now on sale from Steam.
Make yourself a list of which Just Trains Routes you own so that does not happen
I rarely buy a JT Route off Steam - those purchased direct have more scenarios and updates.
I bought the VR BR 101 PRO on sale for 15 euros. Does anyone if the price of this loco reached a lower price than this??
Do you mean the one via Steam?
That was down to half price in 2018 - https://isthereanydeal.com/game/trainsimulatordbbri0ilocoaddon/info/
On this site you can check every steam products price history.
use the search option with the name of the product first.
I meant this, just didn't clarify. That's why I know the Cologne to Dusseldorf was once 60% off, but has not been better than 40% off for years. And I consider it not worth $!3.
While we're here, this is what I consider a sale. The Amtrak 50th anniversary thing is out. IT IS FREE. AFter a week, it will go to its normal price and the opportunity will be lost. GO GET IT NOW. Miami to West Palm Beach is used for scenarios.
No AP sale
Never is at this time of year.
AP sale the week before Christmas.
Armstrong Powerhouse have three yearly sales April August and December
Ok thank you!!
I am waiting for a few items from Armstrong Powerhouse and Steam Sounds Supreme.
Bossman Games 50% Off Black Friday Sale
Use code BLACKFRIDAY for 50% off on ALL add-ons available for purchase on www.bossmangames.co.uk
Offer ends 29th November at 23:59 (UK Time). *Offer excludes existing add-on bundles.
Train Simulator: Welsh Marches: Newport - Shrewsbury Route 20% discount on Steam, but now 50% on Bossman Games.
Steam have to be more realistic with their discounts when others like Bossman Games and Epic Games offer much better deals
Armstrong Powerhouse sale began on 23rd December last year and Steam Sounds Supreme sale began January 5th. Michael Hooley, I hope that helps.
Sadly I don't think you can get Welsh Marches from Bossman directly? Otherwise I'd be jumping to pick this up.
I believe this is accurate.
I have this route and is available on their website. It is the only route, Black Friday discount may still apply!
When I go on their site it re-directs me to Steam?
Oh, that’s a shame. If you want it, then contact them directly while their Black Friday deal is still on.
On their Facebook page where the sale was advertised it says
"ALL add-ons available for purchase on www.bossmangames.co.uk"
The Welsh Marches route is not for sale on their website.
On Steam it has never been lower than 25% off.
I believe Peter is correct. I remember, when the branded version was being removed, that it was my most expensive route at the time, and I felt like I had to because I was concerned the route might not return. It turns out it was a good thing I did it even though it came back, though. Because even the EWS 66 got unbranded. The only branding that remained was the BMG livery.
Flash sale on the ballast tamper pack - half price
Get it while it's hot!
Oh yeah: https://alanthomsonsim.com/product/gold-star-trains-dr73106-ballast-tamper/
dunkrez, I just bought it, but not been able to get it to move yet.
It does move, I promise Mike
D.... R.... A....
(It's what I always forget to turn off on it anyway)
Thanks reef I will have a look, the button does not seem obvious, usually red and brightly lit up.
It's a red light, with a small switch directly under it - the big red buttons are emergency stop and hazard lights on/off. It's easier to reference the manual, but sometimes it's fun just seeing how far you can get without it.
JT Black Friday sale is ended.
50% off the Ballast Tamper Pack is still live!
We are spoiled by Steam telling us that we already own something!
I’ll have to engage some brain cells to sort out which MML additions I need….
It is a bit easier now that JT have started putting a coloured flash across the box to indicate the link.
Thank you, I am now on the move now for a bit of tamping (I hope)
Tip: if you have the line to Lincoln, you own at minimum three parts of the route.
If only by needing the other two parts to make it work.
Please note there is another sale on steam until 8 December. Not as extensive as the sale that just ended.
Last Christmas, Steam, RSSLO, Rivet, Bossman Games, Armstrong Powerhouse and Just Trains all had sales in the week leading up to Christmas Day, so hopefully we will all pick up some bargains.
Steam Sounds Supreme had a bumper discounted sale from the 5th to 19th January.
Half price tamper pack stops at midnight tonight - there won't be any more sales for a looooong time so if you're on the fence, now is the time! https://alanthomsonsim.com/product/gold-star-trains-dr73106-ballast-tamper/
Check out gainmaster's nice sound pack update too
Not sure if I have done the right thing, but I have decided to wait for the Christmas Sale to purchase the Class 60.
It's a nice loco - never hurts to watch what you spend though, especially these days. Be great if we could up the quality & quantity of loco's shipped while lowering prices across the board. Smaller margins maybe, but happier customers.
No kidding. 25 pounds for a loco is insane when you consider the conversion to other currencies. And that's for one of many trains that might be used in a scenario. The model is just flawed to the point that swapping stock is an inevitable occurrence.
As we wait patiently for the steam sale to begin in 10 days time the first Christmas sale has started.
RSSLO - On-The-Train SALE ends 19/12/21
I expect RSSLO to have a locomotives and routes sale soon, as well as Armstrong Powerhouse and others too. So keep your eyes on social media for full details.
Get the products you want and make it a Christmas to remember!
