Sorry to hear that. I'm running in 64bit if that's any help. The only TSC routes I've had issues with recently as regards crashing or OOM are the Metropolitan Line and the New Zealand route.
Have to be honest, this sale and the stuff I have bought, has dragged me from TSW to TSC. I know most players started with TSC, whereas for me, TSW was my first foray into rail sims. I get good performance on my PC with high settings. The choice between simple and expert controls gives me options depending on my mood. I can see me buying quite a bit more content during the inevitable Steam Christmas sale.
I first tried a full run from Man Vic to Leeds with the Class 40145 and no problem Second run was a 769 and again no problems Yesterday I ran a Marsden - Mirfield QD just to see if the speed boards were fixed and no problem with that either. Are you running in 64bit or 32bit?
I too have just brought the stuff in the ATS sale after seeing this post... looking forward to having a drive later! Think this thread should consider being renamed (especially this time of year Latest Sale *** Warning - reading this thread could seriously damage your wallet! ***
I'm dividing my time, but one thing loading TSC up again has shown me, is what a diverse collection of routes and motive power I have compared to TSW, many barely touched. The downside is that I really do miss the comprehensive timetable and Journey mode, all of which do tend to add a bit more purpose.
It's nice to see that he's finally cluing in that sales are a good way to increase business. It's not exactly that good when he makes it such a small period of time that the average user might miss it. I also have bank account issues right now, to put it bluntly, given I have to keep money for gift buying for next month. It's also a bit of a limited sale, in that you have to buy two specific items in each case. In the case of the 185, the price still seems high to me in that deal, though Chat Moss on its own is possibly a good price within the framework of that deal (and better for subs) I look forward to the future when he actually puts the sales on individual items, and I hope he puts on a holiday sale for the money that people have after Christmas. Yeah, I've barely touched TSW, though I do need to get myself in there and try out a bit to see how it plays. Once in the train, it's generally the same in many ways; it's the other stuff I find unnecessary. If TSC had the 24 hour timetable and you could pick a scenario based on that, it would be great, but it's not designed for that. So eh.
I bought the Huddersfield route last night & after a quick go in the 47 & then the pacer thing (just to try it as I hate them ) I was very underwhelmed with the performance of the route! My laptop usually sits happily at 30fps but this line ran at a low 13-14fps constant & was noticeably jerky! I think I might refund.
So, when is Dovetail's next catalog wide sale? lol Maybe the Steam Winter Sale? I decided to make another last minute purchase of some more DLC today, and had it in my Steam Cart ready to check out, when suddenly my cart emptied, and everything was back up to full price! lol Note to self: Steam sales end at 12 noon USA CST on last day of sale
It's a bit unpredictable. The holiday / winter / Christmas / year's end sale is definitely going to bring some discounts, but can't predict the exact items. (I was considering the Swiss Edition but it was the one without discount this time.)
The Swiss Edition was released quite recently. You need to give it some time before it gets some substantial discounts. I think Winter Sale may probably bring it -25% off. My cart emptied on 2nd or 3rd day of the sale. In the end I got some different things than I initially had in my cart (far fewer TS DLCs which had "historic low", but some other games instead).
this is interesting as I do not have any performance drop on this route compared to others it runs fine.
Have you got the AP Weather pack installed? Somebody else reported performance and crashing issues using which were cause by the AP Weather pack
I only get a low fps hit at Leeds in the night scenario to Manchester, where you start next to two class47's! Once clear of the general Leeds station area my fps count goes up considerably. Overall, the fps seems ok on this route.
So it works on yours and anyone who has a problem with it must be wrong? Not every weather setting is the same.
RSSLO SALE - All LOCO... 40% off https://www.rsslo.com/locomotives/ WEEKEND SALE: All locomotives are discounted by 40% this weekend. Until 11.12.2022, 23:59
why are you so argumentative when ANYONE disagrees with you and not only on here elsewhere as well i have your attitude towards others. Shock horror someone uses a product and has NO problems with it. How dare they correct your comment. Anyway lets not clutter this topic up and keep it about latest sales so they dont get missed by all the chatter. Stay safe and seasons greetings.
It seems to be working ok now! Must have just been having a moment! I have been running 3rd party scenarios with AP & ATS stock & 30 FPS seems to be the norm! I`ll test it some more with the default stock & see what happens. Yes I do have AP Weather Enhancement.
Thats good to hear glad you have it working i bet the member whom said this and i quote " So it works on yours and anyone who has a problem with it must be wrong? Not every weather setting is the same." will be VERY quiet now and wont return to comment further after i said i was using it perfectly fine. Such a shame the member above is quick with his witty and sarcastic replies but wont be so quick to return to apologise.
It was not the fact you said you were not having problems but you said it cannot have anything to do with the AP Weather pack "Can’t have anything to do with that I have the AP track and weather pack running my FPS is fine" You are the one with the stupid replies Like the one above this one where I had suggested what might have been the reason - it has affected other people . But no you chip in again with a pointless reply.
Steam Sounds Supreme have a sale at 40% off everything with code ssswinter2240 with a minimum spend of £5. Ends NYE 31st at 10pm
a pointless reply that proved to be correct IE it was NOTHING to do with AP as you suggested. funny that
And where is your reply to the person whom took it off topic in the FIRST PLACE. Oh thats right you pick and choose who call out. I will carry on as i will unless you want to also call out the others whom you appear to turn a blind eye to. NO didnt think so.
For the first time I am not eagerly awaiting a Steam sale. There is a tram I would like for Tram Sim Vienna. As for TSC I only need Southern Class 455/8 EMU Add-On to complete my uk locomotives also may buy the Bernina Line Scenario Pack. I had a full set of Armstrong Powerhouse Products until the latest coach and wagon packs so more interested in the AP sale. A couple of items from the RSSLO sale will complete my Christmas wish list. What would make my Christmas is a DTG Xbox sale, but we know that’s unlikely.
Caledonia Works sale 30% off locos and 15% off wagons, until December 21st Code loco Isaiah 9:6 Code wagons Matthew 1:23
unfortunately DTG don’t control sales on Xbox nor PlayStation those are controlled by the store owners. Ie Microsoft and Sony. Xbox just had a recent sale which included TSW dlc.
Steam Sounds Supreme Winter Sale on now. 40% off everything. Use the discount code: ssswinter2240 at checkout The following T's & C's apply: £5 minimum spend New releases will not be included in offer Ends December 31st, 10PM(GMT)
PhÜnKî_Rø0sTà. I thought your post was going to inform of something new. The SSS sale started last Monday and has already been posted when it started. Please only post here if you have new information and check the recent posts too.
Machine Rail have a 35% sale on - https://www.machine-rail.com/ prices are in Brazilian currency but you can change to GBP or USD and they are quite cheap
and are very good models of mainly US built steam used in Brazil plus they have done some commission work which is available to the public
Thank you 749006 for posting this. I noticed that there is a freeware route which looks interesting! The 1893 No.999 and Empire State Express Bundle has been made with cooperation from Caledonia Works.
RSSLO WEEKEND SALE: All Multiple units are discounted by 40% this weekend. Until 18.12.2022, 23:59 After a locomotive sale last week, I would expect a route sale soon.
Just Trains is doing a Christmas sale early. Too bad I have pretty much everything there. Except maybe one MML extension. On until January 4, 2023. https://www.justtrains.net/category/christmas-sale-2022
Me too I have everything JT has to offer. Had been hoping that the only product in their catalogue I don’t own, that they would include TGV Atlantic High Speed Route and locomotive in their sale. It’s not essential that I own it as I have a vast collection and would only be tempted to buy it if I ever saw it discounted.
The sales just keep coming. ChrisTrains Christmas Sale - all Train Simulator add-ons HALF PRICE until Friday 23 December! https://www.justtrains.net/category/christrains More to come next week Armstrong Powerhouse and the Steam Sale.
I agree. Their sales are so monotonous, mostly the same products are offered continually. Always MML network routes are included. It would be great if they offered 30% off everything.
just off the sales for now does anyone know if i can download just trains route from ther website and add them to Train Simulator on PC Steam as thats where i play TSC
You download the route, run the executable file and after inputting your JT account details it'll ask you to locate your railworks install then install to that location (You can then boot the game normally through Steam, clear the cache, reboot the sim and find the route via the standard drives tab)
You have to make a JT account when you buy anything from them. And if there are any updates to a route or train then JT Email you with the info. Also JT routes come with more scenarios than the Steam version of the same route.
I don't have the oldest stuff, or any of their scenario packs. Because they always discount the same things. I have only bought things on discounts as the price conversion is nasty. I am really upset that Steam has made it even nastier of late; some of the newer items actually cost more for me than it would buying them in the UK! The original Bristol to Exeter isn't worth the pickup direct from JT, either. They still ask for $32.99 USD for it there despite not including either asset pack and, over a year ago, even saying on air - and I quote - "Why would you buy that?"
