Back to topic yet again KEEP the topic on SUBJECT!! Any more arguing I will start reporting posts to admin to deal with. I am getting sick and tired of people taking active topics of thread and arguing and it is normally the same people all the time
Mate, with respect, there’s only about 10 of us here anyway. If the mods wish to censure the thread I’m sure they will. This forum is a nice change to the TSW one because it’s a bit more grown up, let’s keep it that way eh?
I totally agree, and it is by keeping threads on topic and not allowing them to be derailed into a slanging match keeps it grown up. I have no problem with open debate and discussion with anything but why not take it to a new thread and leave this thread for "Latest Sale Alerts" only which is what this particular thread is about, Latest Sales and nothing else.
I plead guilty of veering off the topic a bit. I do however plead not guilty to the charge of "developper bashing".
A bit off topic yes but slanging match? I’ve not seen one of those to be honest. We have to be very careful that any discussion and differing of opinion isn’t automatically characterised as an abusive slanging match warranting being closed down. There’s enough negative forces on free speech as it is.
What part of "please take your debate elsewhere" are you not understanding? No one is trying to put "negative forces on free speech" just asking everyone to voice their opinions in the correct area. Would you walk in to KFC and ask for a BIG MAC? NO you would go to McDonalds. This thread was set up for announcing Latest Sale Alerts and nothing else. Please leave this thread for just that.
Digital Traction have extended their Sale until the 24th March. https://digitaltraction.co.uk/mainsite/ "50% off on our products with code “DT50”. Ends 2359 21st 24th March 2023"
Does anyone have any idea when the next Just Trains sale might be? Also do they have history of the MML route in the sale or is it just a selected bunch of DLC?
Hi, im looking for older swiss routes and content, like Heidi Express. Have any one seen it on sale ? Or any content on simtrain.ch ? Thanks.
Paulc, Just Trains normally have an Easter Sale. The steam sale has been extended for another week until 30th March.
Caledonia works announced a spring sale lasting till April 3rd at midnight (GMT). Quote: "Use Promo codes below for discounts on our DLC: Loco Promo code: ACTS 4:12 Wagon Promo code: ACTS 2:21 Sale does not include LBSCR K, LSWR M7 or add-on packs." Note from me: Seems the locos get a 20% discount,
Steam Sounds Supreme now have a 30% off all locomotives, including Victory Works and loco packs Full details at https://steamsoundssupreme.com/ using the discount code spring-steam-loco-2023
There could be further sales this weekend. Armstrong Powerhouse normally have an Easter Sale. Last year they cancelled it in favour of the Queens Platinum Jubilee in June. They may do the same this year, in celebration of the King’s Coronation.
MPV2.0 Easter Sale If in doubt, take a look at the manual https://alanthomsonsim.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/GST-MPV-Manual-v2.pdf https://alanthomsonsim.com/product/goldstartrains-multi-purpose-vehicle-mpv/ £14.99 sale price, £12.99 for subscribers
It was more to show how comprehensive the feature set is of the units (sharing the manual) - however, I'm sure there'll be less asset intensive scenarios in time.
The MPV can be used on all modern routes and could replace something else in a scenario. You might be driving a route and a freight or a DMU goes past and it could be swapped for this. Assuming you had the other stock for the scenarios what would you do with it after plating them?
Who wants realism on a simulator eh most of us. you could download TSTools for FREE and swap stock out for stock yku do have
Best comment yet from a very satisfied customer "dunno why I never bought it sooner. Worth the full price, let alone the sales price" It's really rewarding when you've spent so long building something and then someone discovers it properly.
I think you should look at your comment at the top of this page. You can't fairely criticise for thread derailing and then do it yourself. This thread is about advising sales, not discussing whatever enters our minds.
Yes, because everybody owns appropriate alternate stock. I consider it polite, especially when I'm being asked to pay for something, to include scenarios that only require the loco plus a route.
This. I never liked, for instance, loco packs requiring a bunch of other loco packs just to play a trio of scenarios. Would be nicer if it was noted which packs were absolutely needed (for instance, your HHA train needs a 66, but that 185 is only going to be placed in a siding and is not critical). I always like when JT includes scenarios using default loco pack stock, even if the stock is not as good. It reaches out to customers of all types.
Just Trains Easter Sale has begun 11 products up to 50% off. Trouble is they are items we most of us have already purchased. https://mail.justflight.com/t/r-l-ttolklk-uullykdjdj-j/ Half price deals on Voyager, Western Mainline and Southwestern Expressways. Can’t be bad!!! Don’t get too excited. Maybe an AP sale tomorrow or maybe not.
More glorious feedback from the latest GST sale, "Bought these earlier and loving them only regret i have is not getting them sooner really fantastic and a must buy for the sim." Talking about both the tamper and MPV. Made my day
Fingers crossed for a 24hr AP flash sale, and the JT sale is very welcome as I don't have any of their MML stuff, I was hoping that the class 222 would have had a discount.
sparraboy, look out for their summer sale. I think it has been included before and their sales are a bit repetitious. Black Friday or Christmas if not the summer. Would love JT just to offer 30% off everything like other developers do. AP sales last for the weekend apart from Christmas sales! Good to see this thread talking about sales again, as it should be!!!
Thanks for that heads-up, picked the Southwestern Expressways at half price, lovely jubbly..... Cheerz. Steve.
Is it worth getting the MML from JT if I already own the two standalones from Steam? Really enjoy the routes so would like to get all the extensions but looks like I would have to basically pay twice for Sheffield Derby and Leicester Nottingham.
If you want to drive Sheffield to Leicester using Steam purchased Routes You start up the Sheffield - Derby route on Steam and when you get to Derby you close it down. You then start up Derby - Leicester to do that section - There is a chance the train may not be the same. Using Just Trains version You Start at Sheffield and drive to Derby or Leicester or Nottingham or Lincoln on the one train. You could even drive Manchester to Lincoln via Sheffield, Derby or Erewash, Nottingham and Newark.
Steve. Glad you got it at a bargain price and pleased you are enjoying it. I paid full price and love it too. I can recommend all the MML products as well. The scenery from JTs is so accurate it’s amazing.
Just take the hit whilst it's on sale, the DTG SE routes were the same. I had 2 routes in the basket before the sale and it was 50 notes, this morning it was 34 which means the explanation to the boss lady is I get a route and a half for zilch if I spend 60 odd quid on the main extensions leaving out Erwash and Roundhouse (Although they are relatively cheap). In the 6 months since I have got back into this hobby I have quickly realised that it's best to put some cash by and wait for the sales, although some things are worth the full price just for the shear amount of work that has gone into them (MPV and 185 for example)
RSSLO Easter sale has begin. https://click.mlsend.com/link/c/YT0...=.5_VQvOaSjsEIlJPpuIfxKXSSpz0JCEfmFRCv-VQrAPg
Yes, I have nearly all the MML stuff directly from JT, I wasn't too bothered with Barrow Hill Roundhouse, but, all the add ons are very good, Erewash Valley is near me at home, so, I enjoy hurtling up and down that with my Class 56s on MGRs. Cheerz. Steve.
AP Easter sale has started. EASTER SALE - UP TO 40% OFF! It's sale time! We are offering up to 40% off the majority of our catalogue over the Easter weekend. The sale ends on Monday 10th April 2023 at 23:59 BST. This excludes the signals EP and weather and sky EP V2.
Steve. I would recommend you purchase Barrow Hill Roundabout. It’s relatively inexpensive and you will not be disappointed. https://www.justtrains.net/product/midland-main-line-barrow-hill-roundhouse-extension The detail will astonish you.
I'm sure many of us didn't really expect them to be on sale at present, but, with all the money I've saved on sale items over the years, I decided to get the weather/sky pack at cost price on release, can't see it being reduced until possibly November/December, I wanted to play with it before then, so, go on, don't deny yourself, you know you want it...... Cheerz. Steve.
Have you just woken up Pookeyhead. Just Trains sale started yesterday and I posted at 8.55am. However I can report that the Aerosoft Easter sale has begun.
It is a completely different route. Also, the Sheffield-Derby is required for every MML extension. Here's a map of how the DLC connect. London to Bedford - Unrelated DLC to JT set, standalone item on Steam only Sheffield to Derby - Base route for entire JT network; also a standalone route on Steam (possibly without the full map) Derwent Valley - Sheffield-Derby required as services would naturally use it; terminates at Matlock Derby to Leicester and Nottingham - Available standalone on both sites, or extension to base route (JT only) Barrow Hill - Adds the building and other stuff for a branch off the main line at the Barrow Hill area; Sheffield-Derby required Erewash Valley - Connects to the line from Derby to Nottingham and merges before Barrow Hill; not a standalone Nottingham to Lincoln - Standalone offering on JT and Steam, or connects to Nottingham; Lincoln is a current terminus for the DLC Hope Valley - Sheffield is the start of the route; Sheffield-Derby is needed for connections to Derby or Erewash, or a standalone route There is also another extension that is under production and takes a line from Hazel Grove down to Buxton. No word on whether Peak Forest Junction to the right will be included or not, but I'm sure that the route will terminate at Buxton with no further movement possible. Dowlow is passed on a local line that can continue, and I have no idea if it is used for any freight operations or not, but could make its way into the route.
