Birmingham Cross City historic low - 80% discount / £6, link in my original post - https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/latest-sales-thread.26334/#post-168679
Steam Winter Sale 18th December 2025 - 5th January 2026 DLC priced at historic lows (from the ~30 stores monitored by IsThereAnyDeal) TSW TSW 2 TSW 3 TSW 4 TSW 5 TSW 6
Disappointed Cardiff route is still only 40% off but I've waited long enough to have the TfW services on MAC and since they also layer in on Brum to Crewe and with it being Xmas too, what the heck, I've caved in and bought it
Some oddities in there. No discount on Mittenwaldbahn even though it has been out quite a while. And SoS being sold at full price decidedly odd. To be brutally honest I don’t think there’s much I really need and rather keep my coin towards the better stuff coming out next year.
l agree with you and OldVern, not much in the sale at a good price so l bought SimRail at 40% and the additional route also at 40% off. Have left TSW alone with Steam, l have everything on Xbox anyway.
There is actually one hidden bundle that offers imo a good value for german content both for completionists and beginners, adding a selection of varied and interesting addons from the past: https://store.steampowered.com/bund...ttgart__Heilbronn_Additional_Gameplay_Bundle/ From the bundle page it seems to charge you for whole bundle no matter what you own, but if you click on ie. Mannheim-Kaiserlautern store page and add the bundle to cart from there, you will only be charged for the portion you are missing.
You sure it works correctly, because I own several of the bundled DLC, but it doesn't show up as owned, despite being logged into Steam?
Go through the Steam application and search for one of the DLCs in the bundle to find the bundle with the correct price depending on the DLCs you own
I'm seeing similar with the Cargo Line products, I own Volumes 1 & 2 (and the Midland Main Line) but the Cargo Line Bundle doesn't reflect that.
After you add it to cart, the price in the cart will update to exclude already owned products (whether you added it to cart from inside the bundle listing all the contents, or from outside, while while it's showing the correct price). It's some bug of the Steam store from the beginning of the winter sale for any of the "complete your set" bundles (not only TSW related).
You’re not alone, I’m seeing the same behaviour on other “complete your set” bundles too. Even when DLCs are owned, the bundle page doesn’t always reflect it correctly. The cart usually shows the correct adjusted price in the end.
What’s happening with PlayStation Sales, we have XBox, Steam and Epic. Considering it’s just coming up to Christmas Day, I’d have thought they would have pushed this latest Friday. Will have to be Monday since that’s the last day DTG is working before the holidays.
Well, contrary to my earlier post, I'm thinking about getting Berninalinie. At 70% off it might be a relaxing drive for Christmas morning ( you know, snow- capped mountains etc..) Gotta get something for the holiday .
I was also thinking of dipping into the Swiss mountain routes since they are on sale. I did notice that the TSW5 bundle might provide me with better value than buying the TSW6 versions which don't seem to have a complete your collection bundle. I already have the S-Bahn one so my bundle comes to £22.06. https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/46262/Train_Sim_World_5_Rivet_Games_Swiss_Bundle/
I would say it’s worth it at a discount. Doesn’t remove the frustration at the incomplete route but takes the edge off.
The route is stunning though. Some well made scenery, one of, if not the best rivet games route. Maybe it wouldn´t be as good, if it was longer. I´d rather take the half of a well made route, than a complete route with bad scenery (like Arosa). With 70% off it´s well worth it, imo.
The scenario around Tirano is very good, but not much thought and attention to detail elsewhere make it average at best. Just think how the route would have looked if Just Trains has developed it!!!
Or TSG, yeah, of course it would be better but it´s still very good for a rivet games route, I bought it a few months ago with 70% off aswell and I absolutely like it, it´s a fun little route.
I travel on the real route 3 to 4 times per year and it's instantly recognisable. The only thing wrong with it is that it doesn't finish in a logical place and the trains physics are occasionally a bit dodgy. I honestly don't think JT or TSG would have made it much better other than finishing it. Credit where it's due, Rivet have done some really bad work, but Bernina is excellent.
I'm tempted to pick up Preston - Carlisle in the sales. It's generally considered one of the best routes right?
If like me you were dismayed at the E94/194 pack not getting a discount, note it is included in a Steam bundle. As I already own 9 out of the 10 items it brought the price down to £17.99 from £19.99. So only 10% cheaper rather than the 20% or even 40% we might have expected at this point but better than no discount.
I can’t get it to appear now. I had put the E94 in my basket then before checking out it popped up a message saying I could get it cheaper by buying the bundle it referenced. At which point I deleted the original order and replaced it. I have found it can be quite hard to find bundles on Steam, they tend to be hidden away.
Perfect on my gaming laptop and lots of ai traffic on the TT. A truly great route imo that is not linear but a network. Probably a duffer on console though.
Im running a PC no other route has peformed as badly including Frankfurt Fulda. A shame as I like the concept of the Network.
In the full timetable is performance heavy and you do need a powerful PC to get the best out of it. That said why shouldn’t routes like this pop up every now and again for those of us who have the hardware?
Fine, but maybe they should not try and flog it to console users as the same game and at the same price then!!
