That service you pictured is not the service he is takling about. The one he is talking about is a depo move that comes to an end cause it say out of play zone.
I drove this service from the time table. RE50 (16539) as indicated by the OP in the thread title. It ends on Dresden Hbf Platform 9 and automatically finishes after unlocking the doors for a few seconds. Showing then the resume chart from the screenshot. There is no depot move afterwards. At least not on PS5. Maybe the OP can shed a light?
So, there is a workaround to finish this service: Drive not too close to the marker, stop the train, change cabs and go backwards. This way you'll trigger "Objective Complete". I know, not what you would do IRL ...
I've run this service several times now and simply can't reproduce the reported issue, the service can be completed without any problems. I think OP is referring to the wrong signal on the left (marked in red) instead of the correct one that applies to him on the right (marked in green). In Germany, the relevant signals are generally on the right, although there are exceptions in certain cases.
On PS5 you still run into the edge or "Death Zone". See video attached. The only workaround for completionists is what I've described above. "leipzig-dresden: Service Re50 16539 - Out Of On a side note: The dostos are full of passengers. Must be a comfy night for them ...
