Glad to see a Patch from Rivet. Hope there is a correction to all the appalling WCL scenery issues on the St. Ives Branch Line. Disappointed JD that there is no mention about the xbox add on manager, but plenty of interesting topics to look forward to tomorrow afternoon.

No mention of how Focus might reshape things, diesel pack including possibly new loco and/or DMU for PFR. Also not really anything on core fixes or what the next “big” projects are for UK, Germany, US or anywhere else (other than the JT route which is third party not in house). So it doesn’t look as if we’re getting a Rush Hour style big summer release this year. Not a bad thing if true, concentrate on fixing up the core and even going back to address issues with older product, like Clinchfield.

Xbox Add-on Manager is still being worked on, but no major breakthroughs at this stage.

    Inside Development on Scenario-building

Is it easier than TSC's or harder?

So nothing about any fixes for bugs created in BS and Harlem caused by the last patch.

Great news, doing somersaults over here

JD's post quite literally says SOME of the headline stuff.
so, one would assume that there is other headline stuff that hasn't been revealed yet that is due to appear.

I think you have jumped the gun on presuming nothing on 3 major summer route releases.

Thank you JD, I really appreciate your response. The game on xbox is only playable if I delete about 60% of content. So hopefully it will be out in the next couple of months.

I'm glad we will have a big update as far as the the timetable for NJT. I know has been working hard on this but is there an update on NYT as far as the bugs. Some of the known issues like the Pantographs on AI trains, lights on the interior being off on all trains. No drivers shown on AI trains, Doors staying open on AI trains, No marker lights/headlights on AI trains, PIS on AI trains, Signaling/safety systems. I know there're other issues I failed to mentioned but any update on this would be helpful to keep us updated. thanks

Honestly, for the moment I would be really happy to have fixed all stuff from the last month before we get the next loco. Don't get me wrong, I have all the german stuff and I love it because I'm from Germany. But for the moment...it is OK to have fixed what has been released over the last few month. Besides it is 3rd party locos from TSG. Skyhook should first fix the 187 after it is been out for way over a year now.

It is better if DTG is not teasing too much and people get crazy about the stuff, then have it released at a more finished state or even finished state which would be lovely.

I just want an new german freight loco as the 187 is quite buggy so i can't run that and the 185 has that annoying whining engine noise

The items JD's post highlighted are already ones we know about. I doubt they would announce anything new on a forum post if they were planning to announce it as part of the road map the day after!

What we really need to hear is that the patches and updates mentioned have imminent release dates. Preferable to any new route announcements.

However, being a commercial venture, they will certainly be planning new revenue- producing dlc in the near future.

If they want some instant extra income, release a diesel pack for Peak Forest.

The scenario tutorial does sound worth a listen.

I’m not a steam fan so didn’t buy Peak Forest. But I love uk routes and diesels so I’d buy it with a diesel pack. Good shout buddy.

I did buy PFR (it's quite good IMO), but a diesel pack would take it to the next level. Hope we hear some news!

A diesel pack (even a diesel railcar only pack) would result in a double purchase from me as I've not yet got PFR.

I would just like to echo a diesel pack with a 45/0 and 101 as a minimum though preferably a 104 would be an instant purchase for me too.

Excuse my ignorance, but does a 104 have the same gear changing as the 101? I only ask as I really struggle to drive the 101. Thanks.

Yes, different manufacturer but with similar mechanical gearbox.

I find the 101 fun to drive, using a Raildriver. More finicky with a keyboard, and I don't know if it's trickier on console.

Or they could use the 101 as a base for the four class 111 sets which were allocated to Buxton at the same time. They did have more powerful engines, I suspect they were allocated to Buxton for use on the gradients in the Peak district.

Tomorrow afternoon about 4pm we will all know and Matt and JD will chat tomorrow evening on Twitch and You Tube. I just hope that there is something really exciting to look forward to. Hope the new JT route is revealed. Metropolitan Line would really excite me.

Would be interested in a beta update please

    How many applied?
    Are they still being reviewed?
Will everyone be informed either way?
What happens to people's info that are unsuccessful from a GDPR perspective?

    Much love

Driving the 101 on a controller is very nice imo. The d pad is set up for the reverser and the gears and the operations shift allows you to move the brake to lap instantly. Once you get used to it feels fairly intuitive and I enjoy the drive :)

101 on PC/ keyboard is just awful.
I pray for any gen 1 dmu without a manual gearbox

I’m on Xbox but have keyboard as well to remove some of the HUD. Controller only allows full removal where as keyboard allows custom set up. I’ve only just got the 101 recently and only gave it a few try’s before moving onto the other diesels. I just found it a bit fiddly when changing down, braking and dealing with AWS all at the same time :)
No doubt I’ll go back to it at some point.

Having used both a keyboard and controller I would say the controller is much easier than a keyboard.

Should have put it in the previous post but I forgot but yes a 111 would be nice enough too as they were in the area for sure.

Well you are limiting your options to pretty much the class 113, 125 and 127 units which had hydraulic transmission and were very niche in the era and area they operated. There was a class 104 fitted with a self changing gearbox but I think that is about it.

Wouldn't it be nice if the next North American freight route going to be Canadian Pacific's (now CPKC) Kicking Horse Pass? Perhaps with reused ES44AC/AC44CW, SD70ACe/SD70ACU, and SD40-2.
I don't mind if the locos are reused stuff as long DTG make the physics and banking comm capabilities up to Cajon Pass' ES44C4 standard.

ACU's are NOT SD70ACe's, they are rebuilt SD90/43MAC's. It wouldn't be as simple as reusing the SD70ACe for it.

Driven it in the TSC version with the 506. It’s an unremarkable drive, stop/start no real chance to get up to speed, over in a fairly short period of time probably even quicker with the 323. A little bit scenic around Glossop and Hadfield but again nothing we haven’t seen with NTP and PFR. At best it would be a couple of drives in each direction for me then put to one side. As I said earlier in the thread, I really have no time for further short non iconic commuter routes, even at budget prices.
