Route Liberec - Stará Paka Feedback Thread

From the short time I had with this route yesterday, I'd already conclude that this plays in the league of Niddertal- and Mittenwaldbahn.
If not even higher ... !

Shock and awe for the walkarounds and detailed instructions in the training modules. That must be a first in TSW.

And then the careful modeling of anything on the route, the locos and rolling stock deserve a BIG Thanks to the developers from Vector Simulations. Much love and dedication has gone into this DLC. And maaaan, what sounds!

Of course, I tried to take a Class 750 cargo train from Liberec to Stara Paka and promptly got stuck midway. Because stupid Pipey here didn't pay attention to the brake handle stages and overcharged the brakes beyond repair.

Will try better next time. I have a feeling this route will give loooong hours with loooot of fun.

BTW, finally there's a route again with a decent manual. But one thing is missing: a list of of the error messages and a translation what it is and how it is solved.
I can't continue my 843 journey at a station because I have the message: NENI TLAK V HP which means No pressure in HP, obviously a problem with the brakes. And I wasn't able to fix or avoid that. Has anyone an idea ?

 

Sounds like the problem I described above. How do you know it can't be fixed ? And what caused it ?

 

Well, I don't know, I have to try again. I'm on PS5 and with the controller you get quickly past "Brake Release" into the last brake handle stage which is "Quick Release". Suddenly I had the system on 7.9 bar. I even tried to evacuate every brake cylinder on every wagon, without success, though.

The 363 from Riesa-Dresden has similar trouble. Don't use the overcharge stage excessively. I've learnt the hard way.

EDIT: Hehe, the manual knows about this.

 

Hello, my feedback is this route needs rail driver / hardware support. This really is a standard feature for almost all routes and unfortunately I’ll have to refund this until it is implemented.

The thing is, the vigilance is so strict only when the you have rectricting/danger signal, or when the line doesn't have signal codes (Liberec - Stare Paka case).

 

I have friends who are train drivers ...... yes, the Czech vigilance is really that annoying and has to be pressed for about 7 seconds

 

I mentioned it a few posts before you ....... it must be some small bug, because when you start from a cold start, it works correctly ...... unfortunately it lights up in all 750 locos and those controlled by AI ....... I just accidentally pressed the STOP engine button slightly, but so that it didn't go out and disappear ... it's a small local help .........

 

Oh sorry, I forgot to mention that I was driving the 843...

• Rolling stock realism: No non-expert DLC has ever gone this far. Almost all the locomotive controls are functional; you can even open electrical or pneumatic cabinets to reconfigure the train. For me, it feels like an 'expert' train without the official label.
  
  
• Driving experience: Handling the train is a real pleasure, and the route itself is a fantastic choice—it's a real rollercoaster with its constant climbs and descents.
  
  
• Scenarios: They are advanced and realistic. You communicate with the signaller, and there are in-depth radio operations. You can even perform shunting operations with independent locomotives (using the horn to control the rear engine).
  

The DLC is remarkably stable for a first release, which is extremely rare for TSW add-ons. The only bugs are minor, like the two tilt indicators in the standard HUD, but it's not a deal-breaker.

To conclude, it is impressive that a new developer introducing a whole new railway universe to TSW has done a much better job than older third-party developers working on well-established countries, who keep releasing rushed content. They proved that it’s all about commitment and willingness, as Vector Simulations succeeded in an unexplored territory where some big names are struggling.

What part is presenting a problem? Maybe people can help?

 

I'm sure someone will ask but.. what hardware are you using, is everything updated, and do you have any mods installed that might cause a conflict?
