    I have this trouble after every game save, but was able to fix it by turning the engine selector switch from "Central" to any other stage and then back to "Central". Works on PS5.

    On a fresh start, none but I was alluding to the person above who is. However there are most definitely issues loading into a save game which either requires a physics reset or pushing buttons as described to get power back.

    As noted above, try pressing the engine start and confirm failure buttons. Should restore power. But definitely a bug somewhere that the state of the train/cab is not restoring properly. If that fails, a physics reset should also cure it, but don’t forget to switch the brake key back on.

    Some of those 843 runs are two hours or more long so the ability to have a reliable save is absolutely essential.

    Yeah, but saves and resetting physics break basically every loco except the very simplest ones, that's a core issue :D
