Hey guys. First of all I apologise if there’s a thread for this already. I’m on the east coast way in a 377 and there’s 3 light modes there’s day running, night running and a 3rd one called marker lights only. what would the driver use “marker lights only” for in the real world. I’ve tried looking on google but couldn’t find any answers, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
Marker lights are used for shunting (low speed coupling manoeuvres) to indicate that the train will only be travelling at slow speeds. There may be a better explanation but that's my understanding.
