Has been a while since I opened a suggestion thread, but I think this is worth it For Linke Rheinstrecke, the timetable coming with the E94 pack, despite still having some flaws and kinks, has been a vast improvement over the original one in basically every field. It offers more services, more variety in rolling stock, makes better use of the route and its potential. It definitely feels more alive. But probably no one will disagree that the timetable in its current state is a bit anachronistic. It's stating to be set in 1984 but also featuring mint green n-Wagen and orient red 110's, both of which hadn't been introduced before 1987. With the upcoming release of Neckartalbahn and its adjacent loco addons, we have the chance to fix that Here's my suggestion: Blend the new rolling stock into the E94 timetable. So much could be done: -As much as I love the 628, but swap them for consists of 212 with either two Umbauwagen or n-Wagen. Pairs of 628 could also be replaced by either 212 or 218 with 3 or 4 coaches. -The green 140 should completely take over the services currently run by the 110. It's the better choice for these kind of services anyway. -If you don't wanna do a period-accurate blank steel n-Wagen cab, remove the cab cars altogether. This would also open the door for some additional shunting operations, more running around the train with the loco at Mainz and especially Koblenz. -The D and FD trains pulled by the 111 could make good use of the upcoming m-Wagen, to add some variety. Mixed consists of green and blue/beige m-Wagen would freshen things up... In 1984, there were plenty of green m-Wagen still around. -The freight services could utilise both the 194 and the 140, again to add variety. Currently, most of the freight trains are coal haulers. The new freight cars from Neckartalbahn (and perhaps some from Mittenwaldbahn) could liven things up, creating some very interesting mixed freight consists! -Have some 323's and 365's along the route doing yard work, rearranging freight trains and preparing passenger services. This would make the route feel more busy than ever, and beef up the timetable with a healthy ton of shunting services. I know that would mean a lot of work, basically the whole timetable would have to be rebuilt from scratch, all the services rearranged, the stopping points checked and so on. It would still be anachronistic in some regards, sure... the 218's and 103's having PZB instead of Indusi, the 365 not being a 260 or 261, some scenery things like the snack vending machines and some others. But in my eye it's definitely worth the effort! Linke Rheinstrecke is an older route and is clearly showing its age. Nonetheless it's one of the more original German routes and a favourite of many
