Digital Foundry a while ago did a video comparing cloud streaming services and discovered that Microsoft now stream the Series S versions of games rather than the Series X version, presumably to cut their costs.

But why? Dont deserve it? Even if its a rework of a old route must have a few achievementd/trophies. Like complete all scenarios, x km etc.

It should be possible for the steam version. I never tried it but there are a few ways to play almost any Windows game on a Mac like the Game porting toolkit

No, I have Xbox Cloud Gaming (that’s what I use to play) but it’s the Series S version because it gives me a limited amount of services and I want to play more the full amount on my M1 MacBook Air.

Do you own a Series X? The only way to stream Series X spec games is using remote play, i.e. your own Series X would be running the game, rather than the Xcloud servers which Microsoft have restricted to Series S running.

No, I don’t have an Xbox, just a iPhone 13, iPad, and MacBook Air M1, and I wanna be able to play the PC/Series X version of Train Sim World till I get a gaming PC which could be a while. Is there any way to play the full timetable (the one for PC, PS 5, and series X) on a MacBook Air M1?

Well in our player "training" (all the streams and explanations from previous routes) we've repeatedly been told the ATC/ACSES lowers the speed limit and gives you a couple of seconds to go to suppression (was about 64-66 % braking, right?), acknowledge, get below the speed limit, you're good. Here, from what I've seen, it instantly starts braking, and you get penalized for it. So which one is it? Ain't no way you can predict an aspect in, let's say, fog without in-cab signaling, so you would be passing yellow signals BEFORE being at the correct speed limit that starts there. What's on LIRR2, cannot possibly be right, no matter how pro the driver is.

LIRR does things differently than other operators such as Amtrak, NJT, and MBTA. LIRR uses Automatic Speed Control (ASC) as a method to brake the train when signal speed drops. This differs from the manual methods of putting the brakes into suppression.

If by "penalty" you mean that you lose action points, I agree that it's stupid and should be figured out by DTG. You shouldn't be penalized for that since ASC brake applications are a normal part of daily operations on the LIRR.

So when speed limit drops, you just pretty much acknowledge the fact and let the train do it?

My experience is when the speed limit drops, you have a short window in which to apply the brake and, once at or below the new limit, acknowledge the alerter and you're good to go. As long as you start braking immediately, you will maintain control of the train. It takes a bit of practice to know when to release the brakes and reapply power so that you don't grind to a stop.

Well, best practice is to brake manually before the system takes over (as with LZB), but, yes, that works.
i BELIEVE THEY WERE DISCUSSING atc A/K/A acs: THAT REGULATES SIGNAL COMPLIANCE, AND ONLY KICKS IN WHEN YOU PASS THE SIGNAL. fIXED SPEED LIMITS (acses) YOU SHOULD BE ANTICIPATING ANYWAY.

Shouting doesn't impress me ( or anyone for that matter ). Poor example to younger posters.

Looking at how some of the 1st letters are not capitalized, it looks like someone forgot to turn off Caps lock.

Accidentally hit the caps lock and couldn't be bothered to type it over.

If you look closely, even there it starts braking before Matt does giving him pretty much zero time to react, so that's not very helpful... so far it seems only Brandon has a solid answer which does point to DTG messing up the scoring connected to it... which does point to me staying away from this DLC :D

Could someone send me a video of the timetable on the M9, M7, and M3? I sadly have an older Xbox, so, I can only play the smaller LIRR Commuter timetable, but I am a Long Island local and really want to see the good timetable, and I can’t play the better one till I get a gaming PC later this year or next

Not going to lie I wonder if in the future will we have the option to have the ATC and ACSES turned off once the license expires. Just some food for thought. Anyways see everyone on the flip side!!!

Was kind of nice to be back for a few weeks. :)
