As a freelance railway modeler in HO scale and now a TSW freelance railway livery creator I would like... 1) a selection of typical railway fonts to choose from in standard and bold types. 2) the ability to save and store created content (ie: custom logos, car stencils, &c.) for selection and reuse without having to create them new every time for each additional project (if can already be done - I have not found this yet). 3) the ability to change lighted cab number boards so they do not read differently than created stenciled numbers (have tried and failed). 4) editable project / livery names after content created (have tried and failed).
It's not letting me download no Liveries and it's not let me download no scenarios I don't know why why can you get this can you get this can get this fixed please I have had trouble with it since release
Log in close the game then log back in that can help but if it doesn't work you will need to go other the Web site to subscribe to it
ScotRail Dotted Flag And ScotRail Arrow Dots Pattern Please add this. This will massively help with making ScotRail liveries because at the moment it exceeds layer limit every time I try to make it. Thank you.
I'm still hoping we get more official logos from licensed companies to use in the editor, would make livery editing easier, and allow more layers for small details and weathering.
Hi I’d agree with certain little issues like this but if you just use two squares instead of the standard figure one with the feet at the bottom then you will only use the two decals for making the one over say using 3 decals to have the one and then use either the one two line decal to use as cover or just two square to cover over the bottom. Either way it’s not a massive amount of decals but they all add up. So I tend to make it out of the two squares as it looks neater than the other ways. The list could go on but I fully agree with more option with letter decals as they can be very time consuming and can take most of your decals which could lead to some people getting frustrated if they get stuck half way through because they ran out of decals. So yes from a personal point of view and a suggestion to DTG to help user New and Old to even attempt a technical livery is to have those lettering decals as not to detour people from wanting to have a go with getting frustrated. Letting decals are a must if DTG can put more into that. I’m not a technical computer type of person so would not know what or how it can be done in game but more importantly what would be the best style of fonts to place in game without missing fonts that are generally used for rail traffic for traditional users and for those that like the more urban style of art say. Finding the balance between that and across all user taste would probably be the best compromise.
Just a little suggestion that I would love to see and if fans would want to see this but placing a Union Pacific “Big Boy” Steam locomotive,,well Oil Fired now but anyway. We all seem to love steam locomotives and many love rolling stock. If the route was placed in the 1920s 30s,,it would be a break away from all the modern stuff and the route could be long,,longer. Something I believe some users want more of. So in a way it kills 3 Birds with One stone. Different US time period. “Big Boy” 4014 Steam locomotive. And the longer routes. I have been making a Union Pacific livery for the Stanier 8F which is a 2 8 0 configuration and a very popular wheel arrangement for most of the world wide rail infrastructure in the early parts of the 19 Century. So I’m trying to do something along the lines of what I suggested myself when I get to grips with scenario planner. But until then here’s what a possible UP may look like. I Just wish I knew more about the rolling stock and have the time to do them. Maybe one day DTG will do the era I mentioned or someone help or team up with me to make the rolling stock so a US steam route can be placed on Creators Club. This livery is work in progress.
Flowers decals so please don't need to make Flowers and use up valuable layer space and remembrance poppy's
Not quite new decals, but the ability to add images on platforms that support it. Everyone will benefit, no one will miss out due to sharing on Creators Club.
An ampersand! It's amazing that railway character sets don't include one Will add my voice to those calling for typeable text boxes- but additionally it would be awesome if we had access to text boxes with RNG content for road numbers, like the DTG default models have. It's a little silly to build a loco with lovingly hand-crafted cab numbers that don't match the lighted number boards! And frustrating that all the iterations of a custom freight car have exactly the same number.
Yeah these would be great. So many liveries have a 'best approximation' and looks ok from a distance only, which I think severely limits what you can do and keeps it looking professional.
West Coast Railways Logo Caledonian Sleeper Logos and Serco Deer ScotRail Dots Pattern British Railways (same as on the LMS jubilee) logo ScotRail Logo South Western Railway logo London Midland logo Serco Deer seperatly from Sleeper Text
How about variations of existing in game brands, NS for instance; And specific pieces of a brand on their own; Black & white palette swaps etc. So you can make the black mane version.
Train Sim World 3 - Tsw3 Update That We Need | Dovetail Games Forums I have put quite a bit about it in here
A proper GWR logo although I spent forever perfecting mine not everyone has that amount of time It would save a lot of layers
