    How about a Special Loco Dlc for the route? I would think of two very special vehicles.

    The ICE Train North America Tour was a six-month presentation and test drive of a German ICE high-speed train with power cars 401 084 and 401 584 through North America in 1993.

    The main purpose of the tour, organized by Siemens and AEG, was to present the ICE technology in the run-up to the new acquisition of 26 high-speed trains planned for 1994 by the US railroad company Amtrak. The new high-speed trains were to replace Amtrak's Metroliner fleet and operate on the Washington – New York – Boston route. An operation was planned in other corridors.

    In addition to a transcontinental trip to 25 major US cities, the train ran on the north-east corridor in October and December 1993 in regular service.

    Since this was something very special in the American route network and the ICE also caused a sensation in Germany, the legendary multiple unit, in a scale of 1:87 (H0), was included as a model by the Märklin company in 1994, with a worldwide circulation of 5,000 units recreated the number 3700.

    The Amtrak ICE was also available from Fleischmann as a 1:87 (H0) and 1: 160 (N) scale model. For the H0 train, however, there were only the two power cars, the first-class "deluxe" car, the dining car and a second-class car.

    When Amtrak was engaged in the development of modern high-speed trains in the early 1990s, it leased two European high-speed electric multiple units for testing and revenue on the Northeast Corridor (NEC) between Washington and New Haven, Connecticut in 1992. 1993: the Swedish X2000 and the German Inter City Express (ICE).

    They were chosen because both could travel at higher speeds than conventional trains on existing main lines; In contrast to contemporary French and Japanese high-speed trains, they did not need new, dedicated tracks. During tests on the NEC, the X2000 reached a speed of 155 1 mph and the ICE reached 165 mph. 2 The devices were also on display in cities across the country.

    Neither of these two would fit the route or the era. The NEC section from New Haven to Boston wasn't electrified until 2000 and Amtrak tested these 2 sets in the early 90's.

    They are unsuited for the route since Boston Providence was electrified in December 1999 25kv 60hz but they fit for Northeast Corridor Philadelphia New York 11kv 25hz PRR and upgraded by Amtrak in the 1970s to 12.5kv 25hz.

    And there’s something else worth noting. The Boston sprinter is actually set in 2019 so that wouldn’t make sense considering they don’t run those sets anymore. So I think what we have right now. It’s kind of appropriate and it’s also perfect considering the F40PHs on MBTA are actually being rebuilt into F40PH-3Cs
