I agree re the mastery - it's a curious thing. I did this by running the rail tour timetable for the class 33 and accepting that I was going to be penalised for excessive speeding. You have to pick your spot - I narrowly avoided a SPAD by slamming on emergency brakes immediately after reaching 80mph.

My only problem thats on every route but the s bahn vorarlberg is the blur, I'm on xbox one and it's in mint condition but I'm starting to think that it's the game and not my xbox

One addition to the positive feedback I made some days ago : would it be possible to slow the throttle handle ? It is difficult to adjust accurately.

 

I'm loving how the AI drivers have been trained to use the safety systems.

 

Route is great, albeit a bit laggy at Barking Riverside. I must say though, Umbrellas, while such an amazing addition, seem to go through the passengers sometimes, and the other issue I had was that all of the DMDs have no information on them, simply the time.

 

In case not already mentioned, regarding the scenario, "The Flood", DTG - you need to get whoever makes these activities a copy of the Rule Book or RSSB documentation regarding emergency and temporary restriction of speed boarding. Just all wrong including virtually no distance from the warning board to commencement board. In fact you would have been better just having the driver being stopped at a red signal and being advised to proceed at caution until xx location, In fact that's how it would be done IRL, a section of line affected by flooding would not be subject to a published speed limit in the Weekly Notice. There is an outside chance it could be boarded as an ESR if the water level was stable. However in most cases flooding is a volatile situation and the circumstances could change without warning. There would almost certainly be a PW watchman at the site monitoring the situation and if the water level started to get too deep, stopping the job.

It's good to have the possibilty of TSR's or ESR's on a run but, as with the same basic errors on ECML, they need to be boarded out properly and consideration given to whether in the real world things would be done that way. And the daft thing about it is, the game doesn't monitor or check you reduced speed anyway (probably a good thing with the pitiful warning distance) so you don't get rated on the main point of the scenario anyway!

 

I just purchased the route yesterday. Enjoying it so far im surprised with the amount of AI and timetable freight services layered in using the class 66 s

 

On the run I did yesterday there was a fair bit of AI.

Biggest problem for me as I suspected, despite the high quality of the train and route the “Are we there yet?” syndrome definitely creeps in. It’s rapidly become another one shot bus service route like Cathcart, BCC, Glossop or the Class 700 stoppers on SEHS. As such already relegated to the play once in a while or if it spawns from Quick Play.

 

There is only a few platforms at Paddington that have power and there's gaps, you have to accelerate out of the station so you can coast between the gaps. When the ole ends so does the power.

 

To anyone who intends to buy this route learn from my Mistake don,t buy it even if they slash 70% off its a complete & utteer waste of time & heavily over-priced all you will get is a kick in the Goblin for your money

 

The two platform ends at Walthamstow pop in very late on PS5. I think it’s also this station where the road bridge casts no shadow but the cars crossing it do, right in front of you as you are stopped at the station.

 

I think if you're going to diss what has generally been a well received route, even if it does get a bit boring, you need to articulate your argument and views a little better...

 

That was exactly my experience during my brief, two hour quickie with Goblin. Can't question the quality of route building and, simple though it may be, the 710 is nice to look at.
But the stop twice at every corner bus service was just too tedious and I knew I would only be back once in a blue moon.
I should have run a freight service which might have been more involving and I think I might repurchase the route in a future sale to do just that.

 

At least BCC there is a bit of variety to the service pattern, either going to Bromsgrove or Redditch or a short turn back at Longbridge or Four Oaks. So yes, nice though the route is, unless stop/start with no variation is your thing, wait for a sale as I should have done with hindsight.

 

Actually other than doing the route into scenario and the 710 training center intro ,my first run was a freight run with the class 66 took a container train from one end to the yards at the other, except at the end of the 45 min run it wouldnt complete and give me medal and points. I passed a fair amount of AI freight and passenger runs ..it also give you 1 timetable run with the class 20 chopper .

 

Given the short 13 mile run ,looked at the overground system route map at 1 of the stations i wonder if DTG will add some extension s to the route over time to make it more full length experience.

 

There's a school of thought that it should also have included the North London Line as well. However I wouldn't hold your breath for an extension. Other than SEHS which purported to be a total rebuild for V2, DTG don't tend to go back and extend existing routes. WYSIWYG!

 

Found a couple of easter egg s so far there is a path that leads you to a train spotting bench where the ECML crosses over the goblin line can sit there for a bit and watch AI traffic go by. There also is sort of a zombie looking guy in the shelter at 1 of the stations..

 

Done a lot of full runs now, and for me this is a close second to Blackpool for best route thus far. Top level detail, great immersion, reasonable sounds. This is a route I have no qualms in paying full price for!

 

No platform lighting on the western end of Barking platforms 3 & 4?
Perhaps no-one thought we would ever use them?

 

I enjoy this route. I have found all fire extinguishers, all AEDs (Automatic Emergency Defibrillators), and all but one Goblin.

Whilst running back along the track (as you do) from collecting a Goblin heading back to the station, I came across a gap in the clipping. I walked through a bridge support wall and found myself underneath the grass bank.

Trying to get out of Upper Holloway Reception siding (heading East) is proving difficult in Scenarios.

I have created the path (to Ripple Lane) and it loads correctly in game. The points change and the shunt signal clears to give access to the main line. However my player train spawns the wrong way around (facing westbound). You can see the clear shunt signal beyond the rear of my Player service in the second screenshot.



If I flip the formation, to correct the above (as below), then I get a flashing tail lamp on the front of my locomotive??? (Not a good look).
Is the track in the loop only one-directional?

 

Class 66 safety system scoring has not been fixed in 11/04/2024 update. (PC Steam)
ECML, SEHS RHTT and ECW 66s not recognising safety systems enabled.
SEHS and GWE 66s remain scoring correctly based on safety system status.

 

I was doing the 04:55 710 service and I passed a 66 with a flashing tail lamp on the front

 

So it's not just me then?

After the update all the trains are displaying not in service. Also why is 1 of the coaches interlock lights off whilst the other 3 are lit

 

Passengers are still exiting eastbound trains onto tracks at Leytonstone high road in all services. Thought this was supposed to be fixed in recent update .ps5

 

I noticed when the doors auto shut, the coach interlock lights all go out even though I have not locked the doors yet. Shame this was not noticed on testing as seen straightaway when playing. Unless it’s just me.

 

Still having the issue on the PS5 where the trophy for completing all line tasks hasn’t been awarded despite all tasks being completed.

 

Before entering Blackhorse Road those buildings next to the platform just magically appear, will this be fixed?

 

What platform you running? This may have something to do with this happening.

 

Correction to this if DTG are reading, this only seems to happen on the offside (right) set of doors when opening then for example at platform 8 at Barking. it works as real life for left hand side of doors so could be why missed.

 

I departed Barking RS and signal UR 816 was yellow i passed it at 40mph and got immediately emergency braked. On the trains centre screen it flashed up with a SPAD in a red box. The game didnt end nor was the signal red…
Just now passed it at 25 and got emergency braked too

I've noticed that the main reservoir gauge on the Class 66 is behaving weirdly with the 6L31 service.

 

Run a District line service into PL2 at Barking and the doors open on both sides of the train?
Is this prototypical?

Not so much "bridge clipping" but more like taking the side of the train off with a tin-opener.
Barking Flyover. (I don't suppose that there's much chance of you guys looking at this structure?).

 

There is a Freight Train that enters at 23:00hrs at Gospel Oak heading towards Camden Road that has the Class 66 at the back of the train.
Also if you spawn on foot the Class 20 & Class 33 services do not appear.

The unit will not take power if the rear cab (shutdown) has the DRA active. It was a long 5 minutes at Barking RS before I figured thet one out.

 

That's what the DRA does, it prevents power being applied to the train

 

Service 6L55 in timetable mode starts with 2 trains attached to each other (2 Class 66's, 1 of the 66's in the middle of the train).
Is this intended as a failed train rescue or a bug?.
Signal UR816 between Barking Riverside and Barking as stated above has an armed TPWS for a Red signal when the actual signal is showing a Yellow aspect.

On both the 700 and 801 (SEHS and ECML respectively) I’ve got the trains to drive with rear DRA enabled fine. This error must be a bug, or prototypical of the overground unit specifically.

 

I have to say, I love how for years I have been saying DTG should do a halloween themed route, and they actually listened to my feedback!

 

Just noticed at Crouch Hill station, the road overbridge - only half of it is casting a shadow onto the p/way, so you get shadows of passing road vehicles under half of the bridge

 

I think you're being a bit unfair to DTG here. They are simply replicating the real world.
Most North Londoners have their heads stuck up their ar.............

Sadly they didn't add the missing PIS boards at Wanstead Park, or swap round the PIS boards and platform posters at Leytonstone High Road (the Gospel Oak-bound platform has Barking Riverside PIS board and poster, and vice versa).
