Given how popular the GWE remaster was, I think this route would fill one remaining gap in the rail scene. This route would utilise the already in-game section between London Paddington and Hayes & Harlington, but then diverge from Heathrow Tunnel Jn and travel underground to the Heathrow Terminals. This route is like the Thames Valley branches in the sense it's an extension that wasn't possible to make on the original GWE route. Route length and stations: This route is just 13 miles but would obviously be the of the same busy-ness as GWE on the GWML section. The stations would be as follows: London Paddington Acton Mainline Ealing Broadway West Ealing Hanwell Southall Hayes & Harlington Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 & 3 Heathrow Terminal 4 Heathrow Terminal 5 Motive Power: Part of the reason for suggesting this route is of the arrival of the NT Class 333, which the Dovetail Direct, incorrectly stated, "the 333s used to work the airport runs in London and were then moved up north", when in reality, the 332s were specifcally made for the HX run whilst the 333s have always been used up north. The second form of motive power for this route should be an actual Heathrow Connect Class 360/2. I've never been a fan of the 360 mock-up from the 350/1. Services: The Class 332 would work the every-15-minute services in each direction between Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 5, only stopping at Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 & 3 on the way (Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 & 3 is one station). It would also work ECS moves between Paddington and the Heathrow Express depot, which is adjacent to the Heathrow Connect Yard on on GWE. The Class 360/2 would work the every-30-minute stopping services from Paddington to Heathrow Terminal 4, as well as the ECS moves already in the 2017 GWE timetable. Layers: Driveable: The GWR/FGW Class 166 and 165 between Paddington and Hayes The GWR/FGW Class 43 HST ECS moves to/from Old Oak Common The Class 66 between Acton and Hayes The Class 47 (Night Riviera representation) ECS moves to/from Old Oak Common The TFL Class 484 between Paddington and Westbourne Park The GWR Class 802 ECS moves to/from North Pole Ai Only: GWML traffic not stopping at Hayes (Class 43, 166, 165, 47) Mildmay and SN traffic at Acton West Jn and Mitre Bridge (Class 378, Class 377/2) LU traffic at Ealing Broadway (1972 stock/Class 499/2, Class 484) I'm fully aware that light baking or whatever could be a problem in the Heathrow Tunnel, but surely there's a way around that, somehow. And obviously, a license with Heathrow Express and First Group would be required.
AFAIR BAA (British Airport Authority) will not grant any licence or permission to represent their infrastructure or operations on the Airport section, which they actually own not Network Rail.
