How come NEC is not going to be part of the preserve collection? Did Dovetail lose the license for Amtrak?
Its because how the trains works at that moment. When RT, GWE, NEC, CSX-HH were made, they were build by different then now. Its a lot of time to rebuild them and due to how less people it plays, its not gonna get in the preserved collection.
This was addressed on the Bakerloo Q&A stream. It's because the NEC requires far more work to bring it up to TSW2 standards so they have to consider it a very long term project to try and bring it into the game. If DTG had lost the Amtrak license then a whole raft of DLC would have been pulled from Steam.
If you watch the streams You should know they would need to rework NEC & apparently it's going to take a long time (someones going to take this the wrong way)
NEC will not be coming into TSW2 as it was built the old way, and would take to long to fix it so that it could work in TSW2.
Please understand that some of us out here have better things to do with out time than watching every TSW stream that comes along. I've started ignoring them almost completely since I have to spend more time watching a spinner than the stream itself, but that's an ATT failure, not DTG's.
It's very possible nec might be the remastered US route for tsw3.Because like remastering sand patch grade it's easier and quicker to remaster a route them make a entirely new one.
Well someone above did state exactly where and when the NEC info was stated. It was indeed the bakerloo Q and A. The NEC was made early on and was made inefficient compared to how theyve made content since.
