We make a timetravel to 2010 before the opening of the tunnel in Luzern and the opening of the Engelbergtunnel the maximum decline was 249 per mille with cog wheel drive. It shares parts with the ex. Brüniggbahn. Today the railway is part of the Zentralbahn. As than they drove with the old LSE delivery.

Excellent idea but if you set this in the present-day what happens inside the Engelberg Tunnel it has a Riggenbach Rack System installed

The locos just cruise up the rack - 10 km/h through the strike in at the entrance then 50 km/h up/down - it's Lamala IIRC in the tunnel as that's replacing Riggenbach (it's compatible and much cheaper/sturdier)
