Such a great route pilot21 and thank you so much to bring Frankfurt to TSW! Now we're a step closer for more future routes in the Frankfurt area and I really hope, that you'll also take part on creating those routes

 

Copying the assets from NID/LFR and releasing them in a freeware package would probably result in pilot21 getting a very sternly worded "what do you think you're doing?" letter from DTG's / TSG's legal department.

This is true for the custom build assets and plugins, but I doubt DTG created all landscape assets they use in the DLCs on their own and maybe use third-party packs similar like every game developer with Unreal Engine. So there might be some assets not even be copyrighted to them exclusively. If so, please somebody bring a clear statement or proof that this is the case.

Anyway, I was asking for the technical point of the relations of used assets to their original DLCs, without the intention to ask for copyright infringements, which still is not clear to me yet. I'm not aware, that this topic was enlighted very clearly in the documentations and masterclass I've seen so far.

 

Very impressive, superb work thus far. This is why the Editor excites me as it hopefully means a lot more passionate third-party developers come to TSW and hopefully means we can play such routes on console some day.

 

would be possible if DTG got an agreement with the dev of the addon to bring it to the stores, where they have the rights to upload that to sony (playstation store) and xbox etc aswell. so far I know the folder structure just needs some changes, but cooking the files/addon for consoles works basically the same, Folylantern told me that

 

As far as the PIS is concerned, you can perhaps write to cadeshr6s, who seems to know how to install new PIS in vehicles and on the platform.

 

On this route nearly everything is possible. You can drive the Sbahn, Regio, IC, ICE and Freight

Interesting and in the future if you can merge Routes you might as well combine this with Niddertalbahn Bad Vilbel Glauburg-Stockheim that way you can actually do Rhein Main Verkehrsverbund RB34 Frankfurt am Main Hbf Glauburg-Stockheim both ways.

The route to Südbahnhof via the Citytunnel and the overland for the freight trains is also planned. But for now more is not planned.

Hello, today I want to share some progress on my route with a new video.
The part to Südbahnhof is finished and a video with the S-Bahn via the City Tunnel will follow soon once I figured out how to make the Tunnel dark.

How far are you with the custom built skyline and Hbf? Is it very hard?

 

The skyline and the hbf are finished but my modelling skills aren't the best. Made them in Sketchup and they also look like that. Hope that I can improve that before release.

 

Are you planning to build your own version of the RMV S-Bahn Frankfurt 423?

 

A repaint should be doable, but a sound set for the RMV Sbahn is way beyond my skills

 

If the route uses assets from other third parties then he would need permission to use them on a paid for route, probably he would be asked to pay royalties, hence it is a freeware route, as no other company can claim their work has been used for profit.

I will be honest, this impresses me on a whole other level. Just the amount of detail to this is astounding! I genuinely am exciting for the release of this, to finally have a route going to Frankfurt.

Again, really impressive and absolutely looking forward. Having driven part of the route myself in reality (Frankfurt south up until west) I actually think the resemblance is extremely well done.

How do you actually build that up? Do you have any reference material, which gives you the correct geometrical proportions?

Like a 3D image of Google Earth or something like that? I thought about using a DOM (Digitales Oberflächenmodell) - which is provided for Hessen along the DGM - as reference. But don't even closely know how to set this up or whether if it is even possible.

 

No, I just took the height and width information from google and looked at images to get the proportions right.

another thing with Frankfurt Hbf... if you all remember, at least those of you who got Kassel route... Frankfurt is shown there in the ghosted area of the route map... provided your Frankfurt Hbf turns out great, which I am confident it does... and DTG... y know... wouldnt be too bad if they did an extension from either Fulda or Wurzburg to there... using this... man can dream, right? ))

What kind of rolling stock will be included and from which route? is the 442 there?

 

The BR423 Munich Augsburg. Red N-Wagen or BR425 or Talent 2 as Regionalbahn. Haven't really decided that yet. Dosto with 146 as Regionalexpress. IC and ICE1 and Vectron and 185 as Freight services.

 

Eh, it is sad that I have a version of the game from Games Pass, the editor is not friends with it and gives a mistake...

i dont think it is a good idea to add trains from every add on because if u want to play the route u need all other routes that are used. and that can be very expensive if u aint have every add on

 

I can add those as a layers. For this route you only need to own Niddertalbahn, Left Rhine and Munich Augsburg (for the Sbahn and some objects in FFM). The other services only appear if you have them installed.
