It would perhaps be very impressive to see a modern incarnation of the Midland Railway main line running from Manchester to Derby via Buxton. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buxton_line http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/m/monsal_dale/ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derwent_Valley_line The route would potentially be stunning to drive passing through Hope Valley, Monsal Dale (and it's viaduct and tunnel), onto the Peak District Derbyshire Dales through Bakewell (more stunning bridges, tunnels a close pass to Haddon Hall), Rowsley (amazing viaduct- http://www.forgottenrelics.co.uk/bridges/gallery/rowsley.html), then onto Rowsley South, Darley Dale and Matlock (currently the Peak Rail Heritage Line). From Matlock the route would continue through the Derwent Valley via Cromford and finally onto Derby to finish. It would be simply amazing to see this route constructed and presented in a modern day theme, recreating long gone bridges and stations. I would imagine electrification from Manchester to Hazel Grove, then no OHLE from that point on reflecting real life. Anyway, just an idea... beats the cycle trail that it has become
Great Idea for a route in the north west of England and it will make money on steam and it will do great for the players
Closest modern thing I could find - Sheffield to Manchester via Stockport and Reddish North Note: In development as of 20/6/21
Jetgriff route is OK but has a number of errors as he used the assets in the default Kuju pack Magic - this route would be set before 1970 as that is when the section between Peak Forest and Matlock closed I also suggested this 5 yeas ago but as it would be set in steam or early diesel era might be a reason it was not picked up https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/manchester-to-derby-1960s.12958/ Hopefully somebody at DTG might see this thread and think it a good idea Peter
