I was driving a heavily laden Black 5 up the WLoS Glenluce 1:90 incline and I couldn't see where the top was to judge things - the scrolling strip wasn't long enough. So it would be nice to have a manual expand/contract option along with the normally helpful dynamic scrolling.
On the real railway the driver did not have a HUD and he learnt the line to know where the gradients were. You could do the same with some quick drives and a small train
