I'm kind of surprised they didn't do GWE in this release and make the route rooted in either the present (800s, 345s etc) or the past (before OHLE) allowing much greater flexibility of use than "it's set in 2014 with partial OHLE, get over it"

If I recall correctly, GWE would pretty much need to be done from the ground up again as the signalling and safety systems is so broken.

Also, it isn't just simply adding electrification. There have been loads of changes to stations, track layouts, signalling etc. So pretty much a new route in itself would be required for an updated GWE route.

From what they said of SEHS-3 they've redone OHLE, signalling, added TPWS, changed and reset track, rebuilt ebbsfleet, added in 6 stations...
Hardly an inconsiderable job of work anyway

DTG JD I saw some confusion among people earlier in this thread. If one owns SEHS in TSW2, you will get the extended version in TSW3 right? Can you confirm this please?

I have SEHS. I'm not interested in US Freight. I do want the extended SEHS and the new German route (SKW ??). So if I buy TSW3 German Starter pack, this would give me both SKW and the extended SEHS, correct?

The TSW2 version of the route will NOT be coming to TSW3.
If you own the TSW2 version of SEHS you will get the TSW3 version of SEHS in TSW3 no matter which version of TSW3 you buy, along with all the other "preserved TSW2 routes"
This will happen on day one

Same if you have Sprit of Steam. The TSW3 version of SoS has the new skies etc and you'll get this version on release if you have TSW2 version of SoS

GTA 4 and GTA 5 are completely different games and with different stories. The core of tsw3 is effectively the same. Not a valid point

 

As @DadRail highlighted on his post announcement livestream the early access may(?) be a tactical ploy to capture to the younger section of the market? The Day One Release date coinciding with the end of school/college summer holidays?

 

What about preserved collection updates? Are they just being scrapped because TSW2 is now the old unwanted child?

Has been my bone of contention that the WSR Class 47 and Class 33 being the most appropriate to appear in those routes that have the railtour due to being fitted with a high intensity headlight.

 

Well, it’s official. According to the roadmap, it is an extension.

Next controversy. They say it is the first extension. Therefore is the Meissen Branch not an extension given that it was added after Reisa Dresden was released, albeit not long after.

General question, as there is going to be an improved service mode, I wonder if we will now receive red lights due to increase in services and also with the new seasonal feature, can we see delays in trains which ultimately delays us? I hope this doesn't upset people who like to be to the second when arriving at a station..

 

This may(?) apply to SEHS than other routes but I believe Southeastern run an Autumn Leaf Fall timetable between late September and early December. Journey times are marginally extended to allow smoother acceleration and braking when Rail Head conditions may adversely effect vehicle performance. Could this be linked to variable weather and the sparking feature?

 

I hope headlight range is improved for lighting up the ground for the BNSF locomotives, but I doubt they did that

Let's face it, sports games basically re release the same game year in year out. Do I even need to mention EA's bad business practices? The only reason why it happens is because consumers allowed the practice to thrive. Also considering how downhill the fifa games have gone, Im not interested in their games

 

Fifa upgrade on xbox is free and most newer games giving free upgrade to next game.

True is DTG couldn't care less about there players and dlcs should be priced at 9.99 on all platforms and tsw 3 priced at 5.99 like scssoftware does.

 

A few questions from me about what to expect TSW3 (apart from the plush dinosaurs):

1. Will DTG fix the bugs and flaws reported by users for several years?

2. Will passenger behaviour start to make some sense in relation to timetables?

3. Will passengers finally learn to get off at the last stop, or will they continue to stay overnight at depots?

4. Will station traffic start to depend on the size of the station and the time of day?

5. Will there finally be train guards on passenger trains?

6. Will fog finally also be visible at night?

7. Will train headlights be visible, will they illuminate the surroundings and will trains stop running with end lights at the front?

8. Will we get an editor that allows the community to fix the bad work of the DTG professionals and inject some life into the older routes? (No kidding, after five years the Sand Patch road crossing rebuild is surely over!!!)

9. Maybe we'll finally get some decent manual from which we'll learn something more about the trains available in TSW, about the specifics of the routes they take, about signalling, something about how we can realistically replicate the driver's job in the simulator, why certain things on the railway are the way they are.... Things like that.

 

TSW3 isn’t an update it’s a game,
Same way FIFA is a game and certainly not free at launch

 

I would like to propose that for the sake of our future players that all further releases are free, DTG becomes an independent government funded software charity company paid for by DTGs own taxable wages and that work 90 hr weeks to ensure complete implementation of all TSC routes…

would you be happy then, would you?

Even then there be some self entitled island dwellers moaning they can’t press the button at the back of the train that even the drivers don’t know about.


I wish we had a brutal moderator handing out bans to those that think peoples time is free because they’re not understanding it’s a new game. I referred back to kublars change curve and in the denial phase you will see many miles below it “stupid”

 

How is it a new game only has new weather and only support 3 routes for 49.99 that a rip off.

Euro Truck Simulator is currently on sale for 5.99 for main game and all dlcs are very cheap so you can pick main game and all dlc on steam for 40.00 pounds

32.000 players playing on steam now.

 

They still do rubbish quality routes and trains what a waste 90hours a week lol

Wow in train sim World 3 we getting 7 extra miles Southeastern high speed route definitely not worth 49,99 and I want London to Brighton & east coastway to have new features and weather in tsw 3.

 

Euro Truck Simulator according to google came out in 2008, many games do tend to drop down in price after 14ish years not before they have released

GTA is never 5.99 at launch
Call of Duty is never 5.99 at launch

Scssoftware pricing dlc for both games at 9..99 and they games have better graphics then tsw 2/3

 

Somehow Flight Simulator manages to replicate every switch in the pilot's cockpit, including things that don't particularly affect the game, such as air-conditioning settings, cabin pressurisation, or even a stupid cup holder. It was done without EU subsidies and AFAIK no company went bankrupt because of it.

The possibility to send a message to non-simulated cabin crew to e.g. take their seats because we are beginning take-off, added a lot of realism and fun to playing with the simulator. Unfortunately, no one has published how many millions of € it cost to reproduce the animated 'No Smoking ON' button or how much the rights to use the 'ping' sound cost.

 

so… in regards to this statement your research led you to the tsw 3 page online where you’ve seen the route is 89 miles, you’ve then gone to the steam store to see that the current Sehs is 51miles (picture 1). Subtracting one from another you’ve made that “7 extra miles”. Nice complicated maths you’ve helped confuse us all with there (picture 2).




I personally make it 38 extra miles

 

SEHS has had 45 miles added to it not 7 and London to Brighton and East Coastway will get the dynamic weather.

 

Microsoft/Xbox team care about their players on pc & xbox. Look at the graphics on forza horizon 5. That was price at 32.99 for deluxe and free on game pass day one.
