Brothers and sisters, this DLC will probably rake in some good coin, pleasing the shareholders, maybe allowing the TSW dev team some more breathing room for a while to improve their product and garner more brand recognition, pulling in more players, buying more DLC, raking in more coin, probably pulling in more investors and other brands, or easing other licensing negotiations. I see this as a positive until proven otherwise.

I still find it so confusing how worked up some people get over their pretend train game, where they pretend to drive a train, getting more pretend trains.

worthless that petition it will only show that just a few are against such dlc
as if the UK parliament would put time in such thing they got other issues to deal with

 

11 signatures in 3 weeks. Shows how many people actually aren't bothered by it.

 

I imagine that the number might be a bit higher, but the rest of the people who are vehemently opposed to it would be far more embarrassed by putting their names to it.

 

I reckon a petition to raise vehicle excise duty, would get more signatures.

No livery designer support ? That’s a shame I mean, they could’ve done like the Stadler Flirt where it can be customized in the editor but can’t be shared on the CC.

But I guess it’s an obligation from Mattel to do so.

 

I bought this addon and I got to say so far I'm really impressed with how Thomas, Diesel, The Troublesome Trucks and Annie and Clarabell have been modelled, it reminds me of my childhood growing up I was a big Thomas the Tank Engine fan when i was a child.

 

lt’s a shame that there is no livery designer, possibly DTG didn’t want to be shown up by someone producing a masterpiece of quality to outshine the DTG designers.

l hope DTG do a Prairie and Pannier Tank now. I am prepared to pay £15 or more for each. I have always wanted to see them in the game!

 

I think it's more to do with licensing than anything else.

 

There's no way Mattel is going to allow people to mess with, and quite possibly vandalize, their IP. They spent a whole bunch of money to obtain Thomas, especially his distinctive look.

Not really any different from DB's ban on livery designer for the ICE 3, their trademark train.

 

Probably Mattel told them to not make it Livery Editor compatible because of all the mess they saw on Trainz.
