Xbox S I experienced the speed restrictions as well on this particular service, two spots as I recall, near or over bridges by coincidence. I just pretended/imagined them as temporary speed restrictions, as the real railroads sometimes have due to track defects or signal problems. Fortunately I was able to complete the runs without further problems. Hopefully in one of the next updates DTG will fix it.
Did a run in the snow with the HSP46 and I like the alarm sound it makes during wheel slip. Nice detail!
Activity B722 Westboro switching is broken. There seems to be a missing step early in this over 12 hour switching. After the instruction to uncouple one vehicle, There should be an addition instruction to stop at location at the west end of the yard, which is not there. The next step listed is Stop at Location East Lead,, so no path exists for the player to move on. I have attached a series of screen grabs to show this. You can see the player location at the west lead track and the next instruction location on the east lead. The loco that I just uncoupled from is center of shot 3 tracks from the lower edge. This shot shows the instruction drop down. Here is my loco sitting on the location marker at the east lead and it will not trip a completed step.
dal#7945, once you uncoupled the C40-8, how did you proceed. As you can see from my shots, no path appeared there for me to follow to that east lead location. I couldn't go there directly since that C40-8 was in my way. I have tried it 2 times now with same result both times.
Once I uncoupled I had to wait about 10mins for it to give me a path if I remember correctly the engine you uncoupled from just drives away have tried doing the job with a different loco let me know how you get on and if no luck I reply it and see if it is completable.
Well, thank you dal#7945, since it did not say wait a minute, who would have expected that is what you have to do. I will go back and do this, it looks like a fun switching service.
Well, MBTA runs train several times an hour with more during the rush hours and there is CSX freight traffic, both through and switching. This route is complete in that the MBTA trains run as far west as Worchester.
Will run it later today. I am in the eastern US. I have also submitted a ticket to DTG since there is a missing instruction here "wait a moment" to alert the player that you don't move yet.
that I'm okay with, just wondering which one Sharon E was doing that had or has issues. there is a 40 min and 1 hour:05 min one.
I am trying to do the 1:05 B722. dal#7945 said he got it to work by waiting for the second loco to move. I have now been sitting there for 30 minutes without anything happening. Here is a screen shot of the 2D map after I uncoupled from the trailing loco and there is no path on the map for me to get to the "stop at" location.
I have been thinking about doing this, but it is such a pain. Further, if it is one or more of the mods, then what, I will not run without them, Kinda of a "catch 22" situations so what I am going to do first is try some of the other B722 services.
Well dal#7945 and SGTDRE, had a thought and this solved the issue. I decided to delete the trailing loco, but that did not work, it was now labeled as the service loco and by deleting it everything went away. Now, went back into my save point and deleted the loco I was in, as they say 'bingo' all is well, have my path and can continue the service. I am going to restart it since I wasted 30 minutes waiting for something to happen.
Okay, I was trying the 00:40 min one, I will give both a try, thanks. - Now that is an odd way to get things going.
What's the point of job extra Southampton, to Worcester. With the 3 empty bed wagons does it have a purpose
Ah, but it works. The odd thing to me is that once you uncouple the second loco it becomes the player service even though the original player loco is still the blue one on the 2D map. If you hover over them it's the white one on the right that shows as the player and not the left, blue one. I am going to play it again from the beginning later today, after I watch the Formula 1 race. Will get some screen grabs to show this.
Ran the 00:40 min one with the Dash 8, and it took 1 hour 29 minutes, and I did not dilly dally, even oversped a few times just a bit, I did have to wait about 10 or so minutes for a commuter to clear the blocks before I could continue.
dal#7945 and SGTDRE here are more screen grabs showing the 1:05 hour service. In the first shot you can see that both locos, player GP 38-2 and C40-8 are blue and when hovered over both will show the service data. In the second shot you can see the left loco, the GP 38-2 is still the blue one after uncoupling, the third shot shows that its the right loco, the white one that displays the service date and the final one shows after I have shut down the GP 38-2, moved over to the C 40-8 and activated that cab and now I have my path to the next set in the instructions. dal#7945 and SGTDRE/ I have completed the TT activity, the 1500 B722. What I illustrated above seems to be what you have to do since later I was instructed to couple 4 cars to that GP38-2 I had left there. I ran into another instruction which was not clear. It told me to at location, once I did that it told me to stop at another location, but the marker in game was 181 yards and it was between 2 cars in my consist. I figured it actually wanted me to uncouple at this point. Once I did that it was happy, and I could move to the next stop point. In the end I coupled the loco I was driving, the dash 8, onto the cars and GP38-2 to complete the activity.
P551 isn't a Boston - Worcester express, it's a Boston - Boston express. DTG, c'mon, fix those stupid passengers - everyone simply disembarked at Back Bay. Stations need priority for passengers. And the first station, located 2 meters from the starting one, should have a priority for passengers to disembark slightly below 0%.
I would say not extremely busy but enough to keep you busy 44mile route with about 16 stations stopper services and express services and if you own all us freight routes you freight services as well
