Not sure if this has already been mentioned, apologies if it has. Whenever I load back to the menu from a route all the thumbnails for the routes and locos are stuck loading and it doesn't seem to ever sort itself out no matter how long I wait. I am on PC and play from steam.
Hello Dyls07 Thumbnails having to be reloaded is a change we made in an effort to reduce loading times when starting a service. However, this shouldn't take very long. We've seen a few reports now of users confirming that certain mods might increase the loading times for the thumbnails. Do you have mods installed, and if so, have you tried removing them? The problem is almost every single mod that adds a train or a skin breaks the menu. And its not loading longer, it never loads. I currently found almost 100 mods that break the menu thumbnails that were working fine in 6. And I dont want to remove half my mods just because something is wrong with the coding of the menu in 7.
Hi everyone, I’m having the same problem as the two members mentioned above. Specifically regarding krk0445's situation: can we expect an improvement? After all, it used to work perfectly—and the game actually supports mods, given that there’s a dedicated folder for them in the game files! Thanks in advance for any answers regarding this issue; it’s really frustrating to see all those thumbnails with spinning circles in the middle. Let’s not forget that mods allow PC users to fix, improve, and optimize environments and issues that otherwise wouldn't be addressed—unlike console players, who miss out on all these improvements. This issue is caused by mods. Please check them and remove the one that cause this issue. DTG has changed the way how the thumbnails will load so a large range of mods are not updated to this new model. The mod will work in game but you can't load them in the main menu and they will prevent loading from the correct ones as well.
