Is it just me or is the engineer's seated position a wee bit too far back? Sadly no way to adjust the chair, but I feel like a slightly further forward driving position would give a more faithful view. As it is I have to adjust the FOV to compensate. Also, I couldn't get out of the cab due to no cab door open prompt being shown when pointing the cursor at it or the handle.
Adjusted the Metrolink F59PHR dynamic braking so it has a realistic engine RPM. Dynamic brakes notch 8 = sounds of an idle engine running. In general, there are no more dynamic brake sounds at all. Did you fire the last QA employee? I noticed that on the F59 the sound of the switch passing is triggered twice(on blades and on intersection), just like in the real world(before only the intersection triggered the joint sounds). And as far as I remember, this is the first time in TSW history.
usually it takes some time till it engages, mostly around notch 7 and 8... havent tried the sounds after the new update tho, will try at home ... busy discovering old bugs on Peninsula lol
I was going down from San Bernardino to San Bernardino Downtown(7-8 notches back and forth) with the engine idling sound. The dynamic brakes itself works as before, but now there is no sound.
This is a proper change for the dynamic braking. The F59PHR engine RPM in dynamic braking is equivalent to power notch 2 (regardless of which DB “notch” you are in), the sound is there it has just been made to follow the correct (lower) RPM.
did a run just now, and to be more precise, at around 1.8% incline and 60mph, it barely held speed... if I managed to scrounge some more speed at slightly lesser grades, when I got to that much incline again and the loco was above 60 mph, it was actually losing speed or just held it, at notch 8... the train was 6cars, loco included
