Some mid 20th century classic American electrics like the PRR GG-1 or North Shore Electroliner would be great - set in the period. Could be a more premium DLC given that it would need some unique assets. Imagine a Electroliner run ending in Chicago on the El? Maybe pushing beyond the engine's limits but a cool idea. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electroliner https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pennsylvania_Railroad_class_GG1
Along with the PRR GG1s, we should get P5s/P5As and E44s for PRR on a classic PRR Northeast Corridor Route. Other US electric locos and routes: -Milwaukee Road w/ Boxcabs, Quills, Bi-Polars, and Little Joes -Great Northern RR: Cascade Tunnel -Virginian RR -South Shore Line w/ Little Joes -New Haven RR w/ EP5 "Jets," EP3s, and E33 Rectifiers -Amtrak NEC Classic DLCs: E60Cs, AEM-7 "Toasters," and HHP-8s (including newly rebuilt cab car units) -Modern Peninsula Corridor: San Francisco-San Jose w/ Stadler KISS EMUs -Electrified interurban lines in California-a really cool idea
I'm not even sure anyone owns the rights to Pacific Electric's logos, etc. Would be a really fun vintage route, with a combo of passenger and freight.
I'd love to see that. Southern Pacific interurbans in Oregon would be neat too. Shay locomotives on mountain logging lines would be great. I do wonder how big the audience is for the classic mainstays of American model railroaders and railfans. I assume that is a large part of who buys TSW in the American segment of the market but I really have no idea. These niche ideas are something a dedicated fan might be able to make like Running Train was done in UE5. Or done with TSW editor?
I'd suggest for a more modern route, the Link Light Rail in Seattle with that floating bridge section. And in all honesty, I'd really love a TSW version of TSC's Sacramento Northern DLC. Maybe throw in a couple of the branches that were inactive during the period that DLC was set, just for fun. Oh yeah, Yakima Valley Traction in the years they ran passenger and freight would be another neat vintage choice.
