Hiya, Thanks for the continued feedback. Here is what I know of the things noted in the past 24 hours. AI taillight functionality - This is new to our radar, so will not be in the next update to MML. Formation Designer - This is something we are working with DTG to resolve. It is not clear what is required to enable this functionality. HST Nose Coupling - This is not something that has been on our radar. If there are issues with its functionality, we will need to investigate if it is even in scope of what is provided with MML. Audio - Audio is not something we are currently working on. Class 158 Guard Function - The time taken by the guard has been reduced to improve the station stopping experience when driving the Class 158. Missing point work - We've tried to address this on numerous occasions and been unable to resolve it even with help from DTG. It is purely a visual thing, the track works fine. We're likely going to have to live with this. Updated timetable - Yes, the timetable has seen a significant overhaul to improve the accuracy of station stop timings as well as provide a brief moment for train setup before commencing a service.
I did some more runs with the HST today and I noticed two things : - The brake pipe sits at 5.1 bars instead of 5 bars when the brakes are released, is it prototypical ? This seems like a constant slight overcharge. - The bogie dampers on the Class 43 seem to be misaligned :
Hey Firstly i want to say after a really difficult start (as a ps4 then ps5 user the route crashed every single trip i tried to drive), the route is much more stable and now a really enjoyable drive! just a few issues of late, two services i drove lately (the Chasing Yellows scenario and service 1D90, both from journey mode) both crashed around 0.5 miles from East Midlands Parkway northbound near the final bridge on approach. not sure why they crashed in the same location (unless the improved power station graphics caused any issues?) but just wanted to report the crashing. although 2 crashes in 1 month is soo much better than a crash on every single trip as before, so overall a lot more positives than negatives!
When driving the Class 158 on routes other than MML, whenever you go through tunnels and bridges the noise becomes incredibly loud, I presume this would be a conflict between the audio and the tunnel reverb system that's present on routes (I'm not sure if this is a new feature or not). This is most noticeable on layered services on the ECML- especially as there is a large tunnel section.
Also i'd like to add that the AWS audio for a green signal (the 'ping' noise) isn't audible when using external camera, however it is audible on external camera on every other uk train in the game. The audio for warnings on AWS (when approaching double amber, amber, red or a warning for a speed change) are all audible when using external camera, just not the 'ping' when approaching a green light. not a major issue, but as someone who drives exclusively using the external camera in a 'front view/front nose' perspective, it would be great if this could be fixed!
Amazing job being done with this route. Skyhook is showing love now, I'm glad it's going this way and will be the norm from now on, because this company needed a change in the valuation that the community had about it. I for one plan to support them much more in their projects with my wallet because they deserve it after betting on quality and hiring the talented people who are going to make it happen.
DTG issue. Mileage counters don't work properly, or TVL not registering loading coal. I think these Masteries do work if you play them on one build version - if an update happens that affects the Mastery core, they are broken and can only be done on a new profile.
yeah had it stuck on niddertalbahn. stage one already done but after an update that showed unfinished and the KM counter on the next stage 80% done and didn't move. and suddenly I did a trip on there a few days ago and now I have it mastered. it's really inconsistent and weird, and I don't really look or care for masteries even if I want them. it's just no fun trying to get them
Unsure if this has already been reported, but Creators’ Club Liveries don’t appear on the HST in service mode.
Oh also, it would be nice to see nameplates added to the relevant HST powercars. I’m not sure if this wasn’t done intentionally due to licensing, permissions or whether it was just a time restraint which prevented it, but it would be a really nice addition to have.
Hiya, Can you provide ore details on this. Can you give me a specific livery that doesn't work on the MML HST? WRT Nameplates, this is not something we will implement. It would the setup of the numbering system of the vehicle to be changed as well as the need to obtain permission for their reproduction (yes, nameplates are subject to individual license agreements).
I suspected as much regarding the nameplates. It’s a shame but it’s understandable. In regards to the Livery situation, I have downloaded many HST liveries, and none of them seem to appear. For example there is an older Midland Mainline livery which is said to use the MML HST. However looking into it further, I don’t seem to see any Creators Club liveries appear on the Great Western HST either - Perhaps it could be a generic bug with loading in liveries into service mode? Spawning them in scenario planner / free roam works no problem.
It's all of them I've downloaded, I can choose a HST in a downloaded livery to drive, I can spawn them as well, but the DLC itself won't choose any randomly. Just EMT livery. The AI 158 will spawn randomly in different liveries as does the 66.
So, I don't know the reason, but I have a remedy. Load up the Livery Designer and create a new livery for the HST that custom skins are not working for. Name it anything and just give the power car a paint colour change. Save this. Go back to the MML timetable and select the HST with your new custom livery. Load any service and observe your livery is working. Now go back and choose the Creator Club livery you want to use. It should now work. However, the one linked above appears to have been created prior to the December 2023 update to MML which changed the HST formation in order to fix the lack of accurate vehicle numbers. This results in two coaches in the consist being untextured for any HST livery created prior to the update. The fix for that is for the original author to open their livery and copy the textures from a finished coach, to an untextured one. Then reupload the livery to Creator Club.
Are there any plans to ever release a EWS class 08? Not sure if it was ever finished or if the files even still exist, but if it were possible and there was a place to use it, perhaps in a Cargo Line pack, I would buy it
That was built for Dovetail Games back in 2016 time, originally for the Great Western Express release, but plans changed. I believe it was intended for Acton Yard, or shunting around Old Oak Common. It was indeed the basis for the Class 09 on West Somerset Railway. The files still exist on the DTG servers, Skyhook was contracted to provide the artwork.
After my initial criticisms of the MML route when it first launched and my deep reluctance to buy the route, I bit the bullet after one of the big updates last year. Turns out, this is becoming one of my all time favourite routes. I’m really impressed with the way Skyhook have committed to improving the route and I can only say positive things about the way LucaZone is engaging with the community. After the disastrous period with a certain someone who shall remain nameless, things have taken a really positive step forwards. Thank you Adam and Skyhook for all your efforts. It really does make a massive difference.
In Timetable mode on both PS4 and PS5, service 1C10 has you spawning into the game at seemingly random locations on the route rather than in the HST you are meant to be driving.
Hiya, I have checked against the version currently in testing for the coming update and 1C10 works fine. I will ask other testers to confirm as well. If you find any more like this, please let us know so we can verify they are fixed in the next update. Cheers
1C10 spawns at different locations on the PC(Steam) version as well. I know of one other service where this happened but cannot remember which service this was. It was on a 158 timetable. LucaZone MML is a great route, looking forward the the Cargo line Vol 2
On custom HST liveries, the windows at the end of each carriage that are filled in white on the EMT livery are transparent, so you can see through into parts of the train that aren't modelled. Is there scope for these to be made opaque and paintable in livery designer as is the case with the 158 and GWE HST? If you use any custom HST livery and pan along the side of the train, you'll see what I mean. Thank you
Even if Lucas and his crew are done, it has to go through the DTG processing, then scheduling for posting to the various platforms, so who knows.
I hope we can finally use the HST at night, and the 158 in snow without the gauge glasses freezing. Then I'm considering MML to be "finalized" after one year now...
Morning, The update to MML is in testing with DTG alongside Cargo Line Vol.2 Aggregates. The latter needs the former, and so far all is looking good.
The route is one of my 'go to' timetable routes now. Still a few little things that could be tweaked though to get it to BPO standards. The 158 is still missing any exhaust emissions. A little thing, I know, but it bugs me every time I go to external cam. Is this being addressed?
Why not? It's a basic feature present on MSTS and Kuju RS already??? MML isn't that big of a route, please bring it up to standards. You're now working on that small DLC for more than a year - nothing personal Adam, I know you have taken over the ship later. I don't care anymore about the other bug-ridden Skyhook releases like Cane Creek, Horseshoe Curve or the 187. But please finish MML - and I hope someone took the time and edited the gauges finally.
How do you know what else they are working on? For all you know they are working on multiple routes, and gameplay packs (cargo line vol2 out soon!) so you are being a bit presumptuous that they are sitting about twiddling with MML as they feel fit. The overall standard of MML is very good now and well worth a purchase. I'm sure LucaZone Adam will take onboard your feedback regarding 158 exhaust and implement changes if felt viable and necessary.
I have not said they are "exclusively" working on MML. Just a year has passed an there's still basic stuff like exhaust (reported a year ago) and the broken gauges. As a customer, I want that fixed, and am surprised that Adam "believes" it's not being addressed. If you can put exhaust emitters on one train, you can easily do it for any other. That's no rocket science, and I don't need apologies or explanations on why they fail to do it over the course of a year, or what else they are working on. As a paying customer, you should not have to care about that. Give the source files to a modder and you'll get these fixes overnight. There's no need to reinvent the wheel, all has been done before concerning exhausts and dials.
