LucaZone I know this is a bit sneaky but could you add the trams from E2G to Nottingham as the trams would be there in reality
I have encountered an issue at East Midlands Parkway where on the hst, the further I am from the doors, they open. But when I get close to them, they close and this is when all doors are closed.
Hiya, I have one final edit to make on the steam, but beta testers have given the green light and we hope to have the next MML update in testing with DTG officially soon. DTG need to confirm where it can fit in their schedule.
It has been some time now since I posted to this thread, LucaZone, but what about the missing exhaust on the trains, or is this also a Core issue of the game? Yeah, I do believe Jetwash tried to add in an ini parameter with the modified ini modification. It's been a while since I read about that. And the issue persists, and as londonmidland stated, it is more than likely a core issue.
Hiya, After much back and forth discussions, testing some exhaust effects with the beta group, as well as several subsequent research and reference trips we determined that exhaust emissions on the Class 158s was not a common thing and thus have chosen not to implement them.
Thanks for investigating this thoroughly LucaZone and not bowing to unwarranted community pressure for unnecessary ‘clag’!
Hi LucaZone - please could you see if the texturing under the HST window can be made smoother/less blocky? Thank you
Hiya, Thanks for the feedback. I believe this is the Ambient Occlusion shadowing and so is entirely affected by time of day. So its only when lighting is just so that this effect occurs. This is not something we have plans to address.
Hi Adam. How about this effect, which occurs on PS4? On PS5 everything is fine. 2f54453e-d2d0-425e-98a3-024b42a48082 by li150special posted Feb 3, 2025 at 9:18 AM
PS5 just tried Mildmay route after a few weeks away, all the problems still exist, blurred labels in cab and a major issue for me is no access to safety systems panel which makes this route for me unplayable. In future I will not be purchasing any new DLC on release day, I will wait to see what issues arise
10 cars ( 8 wagons ) class 43 going down to London, well in Parkway station for whole train, but a few yards short of Zero yards, the last door in the last car does not open. Is that a known bug? [ nope ] The entire tran is well along the platform. The forward door of that last wagon did open. PS oh my gosh it has a label: " this is not a passenger door" So now i have to go check the six-car consist ... PPS So this is interesting ... if the consist has First Class at each end, then you can find a coach with one of these doors near the end. Each side of the wagon is labeled for that door. So now i can try to go learn the Ckass 43 feature. So many TSW bugs; am glad this is not another !
On one end of the HST there is usually one set of doors that will not open. They Never opened on the GWR HST either. That will be the TGS coach. Trailer Guard Second.
LucaZone Adam. Did DTG manage to confirm a release slot for the power station emissions being sent out in a patch?
Yes. The wait is almost over. Its turned into another decent little upgrade to MML. Full details very soon.
Hey! Can anyone tell me what West Cornwall Local layers onto Midland Mainline? It is shown in the layer selector as "train deliveries" and "PNZ 37_5". But what would it actually add? Thanks.
No, it doesn't as the WCL 37/5 it isn't set up with the brake translator for the EMU drags to Litchurch Lane.
I think it's just AI stock sat in sidings. There's some stabled at Derby Litchurch lane and I think Nottingham.
I don’t get the hype with this route. With all the cargo packs it’s still not busy enough. When I pull into any of the main stations they are always dead with no ai.
Gave it some day a chance in a good sale. But still those concrete blocks at Derby. In real live NO Train would can drive out of the station without heavy damage! I still wonder how blind someone must be that this gets through quality control still after update No. x The only difference they did to that what I reported back in 2023 (https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/midland-main-line-leicester-derby-nottingham-bugs.69425/): they put a fence on it.
I played some MML this morning and it seemed busy enough to me, had plenty of ai trains passing by. The freight traffic is decent, and the static stock around Leicester, Derby, Mountsorrel and Beeston are also a plus. It's also one of the few routes with developers who keep coming back to it with QOL updates and improvements and it runs solid on 8th/9th and PC so even PS4 players can enjoy it. And it also happens to have the (better)HST, making it still one of the best modern period UK routes.
Is it all platforms? If not, which specific platform numbers? I'm sure Adam will be happy to take a look
Also, speed limits don't apply when the front of the train reaches them, but instead when you in the driver's seat do.
I thought they were supposed to kick in once the back of the train is clear of the sign? Believe I saw something about a new sign being trialled in some areas allowing the speed limit to kick in once the front is past the sign
Speed limits should apply from the front (ig approaching) or rear (if passed). In this case, I was approaching a speed reduction. It should have applied once the train reached it, but it didn't until I reached it from the cab (which even on trains with a flat nose is not directly at the front, otherwise I'd be sat on the headlights).
Ah yes makes sense - sounds like a bug. I wasn’t very clear in my message - AFAIK, speed increases are effective once the rear has passed (accelerate after), and speed limit decreases are effective once the front has passed (brake before)
Hi Adam LucaZone, on the 2+6 hst, could we get buffers on that specific variant considering in real life the 2+6 can from Grand Central. The 2+8 doesn't need any changes as it doesn't and didn't have any buffers
