There was another post on 16 aug another player says he gets 9 out of 10 crashes it is only the HST I believe
You're the exception. I've had guaranteed crashes since the route released. Before the last update it was just the HST going to Leicester always at 5.2 miles from Leicester. Since the last update, it's random.
That is odd, one is not getting a crash and one is getting a crash. Could it be the creators' content that is being or not being used? As robert.miller posted in post #142 and the only comment from anyone on the MML-EMT issue for PS5 was from DTG-Chris in Post #134 What if just what if, an uninstall reinstall of the core came and DLCs, or was that tried?
Platform- Xbox Series S. Issue - HST coach numbering is still bugged. All coaches in a formation are still showing the same vehicle numbers. The one parked up at Nottingham had a full formation of 43049 (which is the locomotive number) which included both power cars having the same number. Set on the other platform had the same issue, both power cars the same number and all coaches displaying that number. All coaches are showing on the side as coach A. Neither of the formations has at the front/back the coach with guards van/TGS. I might as well add that I used to have HST diagrams in my roster, which included a couple of ex-EMR sets (NL65 and EC64) which did both have a TGS. I’ve seen the EMR on the St Pancras map and the sets there have a TGS so I’m not sure why they’re not showing here.
Anyone on ps5 having issues with this route i.e crashing etc. try uninstalling and reinstalling as this is what I did and since then have had no issues with the route using both HST and 158. It’s worth a shot if anyone is having problems with route?
Not sure if a coincidence or not but following your advice was able to finish the Not Quite Awake scenario at the 3rd time of asking so will take that as a win thank you
I’m on PS5 and suffered plenty of crashing issues previously. Played it 5 or 6 times this last week and all has been fine. Strange because there’s been no updates. Maybe we’ve just been lucky!
I would not be surprised if some sort of update / patch or even update with the console was pushed out in the wee hours of the night, as nothing was stated. A fix was pushed out? Yeah, I know an off-the-wall thought.
Many tpws issues were fixed in their last update, but some still remain. If you're going at a slow enough speed, you should be able to avoid getting tripped by tpws. Idk which ones exactly still exist since I have no idea how tpws works, but it is in a better state than launch.
Can’t sit in second man’s seat in rear cab when train is moving. Says the train is going too fast to take control - shouldn’t really matter as it’s the second man’s seat and not drivers. edit. Should add it’s the 158 doing this. I tried sitting in the second man’s seat when the train was stationary and got the prompt to take over driving. Okay! Double edit. Tried walking through an HST at Leicester. The lockable doors at the end of each gangway were visibly open but wouldn’t allow me to walk through to the opposite coach - in essence they were visibly open but actually shut. I had to shut both sets and reopen them before being able to walk through. I like having the HST and 158 to drive but man, the jank is strong with this one.
MML is the only route that crashes my PS5. Just tried to drive a service with the WCL Jubilee and 3 km out of Leicester ......... pooooof, bang, boom ... If Skyhook abandons the console MML owners standing in the rain with this, or if they dream to have this fixed only behind the TSW4 paywall, they´ll never see a penny again from me. And me, stupid sucker as I am, fell for this ´Jane Fanfare´ and paid full price to support the suposed route recovery. Duuuuuhhhh ...
Pipe, I can understand your and all PS5 players, but don't totally blame SHG since they have said more than once that they write for PC and it's up to DTG to convert it over. Yes, they participate in this conversation, but don't do it themselves.
Well, I think you can tell my post above was written in anger. It really was. And I see your point. Did I get this right that DTG launched an MML patch for PC which seems to have quite a lot of issues fixed but skipped that patch for us console users? How myopic would that be? DTG JD I hardly tag anyone from DTG (I know you´re busy up to the top) but this one would be really interesting to know: I think we can agree that the PS5 hard crashes on MML are the prototype of "game breaking". There´s no workaround. So, after all the promises here in this thread and elsewhere, will you still fix this for TSW3? Edit: corrected "brake" vs "break"
Pipe, I am coming here from my slightly aging memory, but I seem to recall, that to do the patch for console they had to do a major redo of the texturing. You are also correct that PC users got a recent patch which corrected most things and it is working a lot better.
Yes Very busy working on TSW4! While that was the case as we now know, there was plenty of silence on what is or will be done, Well There was the odd pop in Make a statement work will continue, but it will end up "in time that is" being pushed to TSW4. Yes, that would be very interesting to know because too many promises were made, and very little if anything was delivered. And even as TSW4 was being prepped for release and the big reveal on YB, the statement was made that it would be worked on / Patches and or fixes would done on much TSW3 and yes MML-EMT. While the PC community has more workable DLC the PS5 Community does not, and what I found a bit odd is that amidst all the issues that need to get fixed and or patched. I'm still having issues with the emergency braking triggering when it shouldn't (really frustrating) and total game crashes.. usually when approaching nottingham station (game breaking)... and i'm on ps4 i wanted to love this route so much but it's massively frustrating.. if i could get a refund on this dlc i would, it's impossible to enjoy knowing 95% of the way into a route it's going to crash I will say in all fairness that it's the only route in all of tsw i have major, major issues with like this

100% all of this. I am on PS5 and it still crashes and throws the emergency brakes on. It got fixed for PC why not consoles?
Yeah same here had another with HST last night and PS5 completely shut down was worried it was bricked.
Yeah I was driving service 1D11 0925 Leicester to Nottingham service and I was doing 107MPH (3MPH) below the maximum permitted speed and all of a sudden I was hit with the TPWS at Mountsorell ( south of Barrow Upon Soar ) I was running on greens so I think one of the bugs still remains in this area.
I’m on PS5 and MML is unplayable, it’s constantly crashing, especially with the HST, in fact the only time it doesn’t crash is when I use both HST and Class 158 on the livery editor and other routes. Yes I’m pessimistic I know it but I think we won’t have that supposed “update” for MML. Yet Scamhook proved again after the BR187 fiasco and MML that they treat badly their customers, I’m starting to believe everything that was said against Jane… Anyway I won’t buy anymore products from them that’s a fact.
That's the tpws triggering incorrectly. My advice, turn off AWS about a mile from Nottingham (going to Nottingham) and turn it off between 5&6 miles from Leicester (going either way).
It will incorrectly trigger if you are above 85mph I believe. Turn AWS off between 5 & 6 miles outside of Leicester (travelling in either direction) and it shouldn't trigger. I doubt this will ever be patched on console

Hi Everyone, Just to say that Skyhook are still very much active with MML. Today we had our latest call with DTG discussing the PS5 crash and submitted our latest round of updates that we hope to get out to the beta testing group this weekend.
I was looking to pick up this route eventually, but with all the negative feedback and bugs, I think I’ll wait.
Once the fixes and all that has been put in the route for tsw4 will the dev add new content like Sheffield for example or that theory over now?
Hmmm, not sure about this. I jumped from PS4 to PS5 and reinstalled all the routes for the new version. Never looked back to the PS4 version. There´re very notable differences. To start with the long distance scenery and shadow drawings. Over to traffic layers and real life train extensions. Now, if the rumour is true that some screwed up high-res textures are the culprits for the PS5 crashes on MML, they might very well not happen on PS4. Just a thought ...
Yes I think they have talked about utilising the track which has been laid, such as the Power Station and Toton Yard, a bit more but as the route is “cooked” the absolute extent is what we have to work with. Though I do suppose somewhere in SHG’s backup files there is a copy of the route as it was before being finalised so technically (and this is something we can experience more directly in a week or two when we get the editor) that could be extended. Maybe.
Probably not one to go for at the minute unless you want to be able to drive the 158 on ECML when it releases.
Nope. PS4 gen 8. PS5 gen 9. Different beasts running different code of the MML software with diffeent settings and textures. Some routes even with different timetables.
So if I brought a ps5 and tsw4, can i transfer all my dlc routes and locos from tsw3 on ps4 to tsw4 on ps5 through dovetail account!?? Ps5 seems to get more layers (class 66- bml , hst/french - sehs) than ps4. Only interested in Mml being fixed and the JT route to be honest.
Yes, I´d think so. Best create the same user account on PS5. So, many dual version games can be updated. If you see a route or any other addon as "OWNED" you should be entitled to install and use it wherever compatible. In the moment you start downloading the DLC to PS5 it will queue always the PS5 & PS4 versions. For the latter you should cancel download manually. If not it´ll litter your SSD. Just one thing: IINM you can´t transfer your progress from the PS4 version to PS5. And yes, the PS5 versions are a completely different cup of tea. I Just Switched From Ps4 To Ps5… Oh My God!
tl:dr if already mentioned. Approaching Syston in the Up Direction on the Up/Down Slow Line, the AWS magnet for the 20 MPH PSR advance warning is Code 5 wrong side failure - generating a bell/bing instead of a horn. Edit: Between Syston and Leicester there are also several AWS ramps that have just been dumped in the 4ft and not actually associated with anything. Or if they are for moves in the Down direction they should either be suppressed for Up trains or there needs to be a disregard sign (IIRC a white St Andrews Cross on a blue square background) just beyond the ramp to inform the driver accordingly. Was this route even tested by players with the safety systems active on the trains? This is entry level stuff!
