Have the level crossings on the route been looked at all? Would be nice to have them all working with lights etc like other DTG routes

Yes, we have a chap on level crossings as I type. Not sure whether they will be updated this patch or next, to be absolutely honest. But we do have one of the tech team updating right now.

When do you realistically think the patch will be released Jane I must say the work you and your team have done so far has been fantastic

Not being nasty or anything. But surely this should have all been done before released, if your having to go back and make changes to environment.

Hopefully whoever allowed (or demanded) the route be put out when it was will learn that lesson. I doubt it was Jane (or Skyhook)

This 100%. I could be wrong, but the passion shown by Skyhook to fix the route surely means they were not happy with its state at release.
Pressure must have been applied from elsewhere. Be that financial, pre-booked release slots etc. etc.
Maybe it was on the books for the Focus Takeover. Maybe all the DLC releases increased DTG`s value before the acquisition by Focus.
    We will never know 100%.
What I do know is that In our case, we absolutely made sure the company was at its most valuable and attractive, before the sale. It's what you do.

    Just a few screenshots:
20230423215000_1.jpg @Nottingham. Stop marker on the wall. I hope that stop markers at all stations will be fixed. Very important if you want to play HUDless
20230423225514_1.jpg @East Midlands Parkway. Is this correct?
20230425154123_1.jpg Between Nottingham and Beeston. Clear aspect with calling on signal? There is also a calling on signal at Derby at Danger that is inaccurate according to Dadrail.
impressive-train-station.jpg 2713629_570da706.jpg Nottingham Station and Ratcliffe PS at night IRL. The chimney has blinking red lights to warn low flying planes.

Hope the speedometer needle on the 158 can be seen at night as well. Must have if you want to drive HUDless.
Thank you Jane and Skyhook for interacting with the community for this route!

Yes, it is. These are repeater signals. The purpose of them is to provide the driver with better viewing distances/angles if the main signal is obscured.

There is a curve at East Midlands Parkway, which means the driver won’t be able to see the main aspect until the very last second. That is why the repeater signals have been placed.

From this cab ride video, you can see it existing in real life as well -

Somebody owes SHG an enormous apology for making them release this route before it was finished.

My goodness, from what I'm reading here, they're having to virtually rewrite the entire route.

That may be an exaggeration, but it's certainly more work than they should be expected to do post release.

For heaven's sake give these studios enough time to properly develop their routes. I seem to remember that SHG were given a lot of time to complete Cane Creek and HSC.

Credit to them for the effort and their cooperation with the community.

I hadn't planned on buying this route, but I think I will when it's patched just as a thank you for the work they've put in.

As londonmidland says, that signal on the right is a copy of the one on the left, the term is "co-acting" as noted by the signal number board underneath. You can see that the one on the left is ST4499 and the one on the right ST4499 CA
This was included in a recent video by Don Coffey

go to 1:25:00 and he explains it

100% this. Whoever it is in DTG that is forcing this relentless release of unfinished and unrefined software needs to take a long hard look in the mirror.

I always hoped that once JT and ATS got involved it would almost shame DTG into changing their MO. The way this update is shaping up I’m inclined to add Skyhook to that group.

The simple fact is that route should not have been released in the state it was in. I don’t want to get ahead of myself because we haven’t actually seen the update, but if it lives up to the info we’ve had so far then Skyhook will have dragged their reputation out of the gutter, and deservedly so.

I am one person, but the fact is this. If this route had come out and been left as it was I wouldn’t have bought it, nor would I have bought any further Skyhook products, MML extensions or not. I’m going to stick my neck out and say this patch will transform the Midland Mainline, which makes this particular DLC an easy purchase decision. It also means that when more sections are released I’ll be waiting to purchase them. I almost can’t believe that after the release Skyhook have gone back and created custom models for many important landmarks on the route. I didn’t for one second think they would, so the fact that they have really does deserve immense credit in my book.

The truth is quality sells, it always has and always will. On the other hand taking customers for fools, or for granted, will always lead you to a dead end sooner or later. It really isn’t rocket science.

Really kind of you thank you. I won't say we have rewritten the whole route, but I will say that we have added, fixed and amended a huge number of items and the team are still working on doing more. I am really grateful for the patience of all of you and the entire dev team have genuinely been motivated by the support of everyone here.

Thank you so much for sharing these. I have passed on to the dev team.

In respect of the night lighting of the 158 gauge needles, I can confirm it is fixed. There is a screenshot of the fix buried somewhere in this thread.

Gang, I will be around over the holiday weekend, so will post when I can. However, it might be intermittent. So please don't think I am ignoring you. I am planning a Doctor Who marathon and some time on the Peak Forest route with my fan hat on. Spoiler- I love it - but I cannot say anymore lest I get myself in trouble, which I am good at ;)

So please everyone, have a great holiday weekend if you are in the UK. Have a great weekend if you are out of the UK. I am really grateful to you all here for all of the engagement and constructive feedback. You have made it a pleasure to be here with you all.

    Thank you everyone
    Jane

This is indeed going to be an extreme distraction next week, juggling this, clearing more Journeys on the original SoS and of course continuing on with MML.

If you can see the timestamp (assume it displays on phone?) and its a link on phone, long press it and you should get a menu allowing you to copy, and then long press in the text box to get another menu to paste it in

jane-skyhook The achievement on Steam are still not visible
I have not started to play with this trainset, because as long as the achievement are not visible, even if the objective of the achievement is completed, they will not show as completed in Steam (for example, I still have 2 from the Glasgow-Edinburg (not SkyHook trainset, sorry) that are still no showing completed, even after repeated re-do of the objective)

The type of the round shape 1 light announcing a main signal previously does not function with just a decoration.
    Please revise it

Noticed last night when running 2A63 (I think it was) the GSMR displayed the running number, but also got the calling on into Derby but there was nothing in the platform.

Unless someone can correct me, I think you always get the calling on signal into Derby even though there’s nothing in the platform (it’s certainly happened every time I’ve driven it). It’s one of the signalling issues which needs to be corrected.

A few numbers for you, as many of you have asked about timetable enhancements.

Disclaimer - These numbers may be subject to change, based on testing and if any issues are found. They are also very likely to climb.

These numbers do NOT include drivable freight or AI freight (I haven't got reliable numbers for those yet).

However, as we stand today (disclaimer again please). We are now touching 600 services or thereabouts. This includes a massive uplift to route AI.

There are in excess of over 100 new drivable services currently going through test.

    Just wanted to share,
    Jane

They know about it as it's been reported and acknowledged. Now the thing is, what I'm keeping an eye on, the same problem happens on DTG's MK2 coaches and has been a problem for months and DTG also know about that too! I wonder who get's their bug sorted first!?! I wouldn't be putting my mortgage on DTG!!

Just been watching these on Youtube, now this would of been an era to have had MML in TSW! 20's, 45's, 47's, 56's, 58's, HST's with their original Valenta sounds
