Quite a lighting glitch, haven't seen one this severe in years. Also, shoutout to the tunnel's ceiling.
1.) Depends where you're referring to on the route? There aren't some IRL as they've been destroyed or graffited over and people miss them in cab videos. 2.) Yeah that's a issue I'd spotted as well. Same with Channelsea Junction. 3.) That looks to be a asset issue with the developer unable to create more (could be wrong though) 4.) Yep notice that was well. 5.) Yeah there are neutral sections, but their inclusion is up to the developer, if they aren't going to implement them, no point in putting in the signage tbh as it's another texture the core engine needs to load.
I stand to be corrected but I believe that a Morpeth board and AWS magnet are only required if the reduction is over a third of current line speed. I haven’t purchased this route so can’t confirm whether the speed changes satisfy this rule.
Overall an excellent route, recognisable from when I drove it in the early 2000's. Some niggles to be ironed out though. 1 378 speedo should only go up to 90mph, with no maximum marking. 2 Some stop points do not line up with stop markers, notably p12 Stratford leaves a coach hanging off the platform 3 got 26 of 25 extinguishers, missing one paper but got everything (100/100). 4 Some signals missing identification plates 5 Engineering scenario has people in yellow or no hi vis on track. should all be in orange. 6 Same scenario incorrect reminder board setup for speed restrictions 7 Same scenario, should pass signal at danger to reach limit of engineering possession to turn back 8 Banner repeater at Canonbury shows both off, but signal at danger. Still worth a pat on the back for Johannes. A damn good first route, especially as he did it on his own.
Like what the others said there is a lot of texture and frame rate problems etc but also I noticed West Hampstead station is not updated to its current look as it got refurbished about 6 years ago
I'm happy people are noticing this, as someone who has been to West Hampstead on the overground many times it feels weird to see a route with branding from 2024-2025 have stations that are based on how they looked over 5 years ago. I hope this can be fixed at some point.
Gotta love these kinda rebuttals to an obvious issue. The cab lit up from the inside as well, despite there being like a hundred yards until the tunnel's end. I went into Photo Mode and captured the scene.
Some journeys of the Windrush Line don't start at Canonbury or Highbury & Islington. You arrive at various stations on the Mildmay Line.
You would be correct, but the poster is referring to any speed boards signifying a reduction in speed.
Apologies if already mentioned, but when in the cab during wet weather, the rain sound effect can still be heard despite being undercover at Dalston Kingsland when stopped at the station heading towards Stratford, and can also be heard in the opposite direction as you're pulling into the station.
very unplayable its lagging like hell on Xbox Series S and also a few crashes on foot / free roam in timetable mode
Another thing is that the freight services don't have heard codes which make it hard to change brake settings
A lot (maybe all?) of the banner repeaters aren't working and all show clear when the signal is at danger.
Something else which is hope can be addressed, is the Canonbury to Highbury & Islington DC lines section. It’s lovely to see included with more services. Was this included last minute as an after thought? Signalling is very bugged, lack of AWS magnets, when leaving Canonbury you can see the signal ahead displaying a single yellow as well as the signal ahead of that also displaying a single yellow! Also auto generated timings on the timetable on this section. This is always a bit of an “ick” for me. Apart from that, I’ve pretty much played this route non-stop since last week, can’t get enough of it! A route I had a soft-spot for in TS Classic has continued!
Noticed an issue when you push the Door Release button, the doors on the last car don't open. They only open if you flip the guard and push All Release
Route is pretty fun to drive on. But I want to report that AI Class 378 trains don’t seem to spawn in with any made custom liveries on the route anywhere. It seems that the 378 has a very low percentage of liveries popping up. But I have seen the Class 700 AI trains spawning with custom liveries with no problem. Hoping this can resolved.
That's how it's meant to be, it's for shorter platforms. Since this train is based on the 377 I suspect. When driving an 8 car 377 on east coast the stations are often too short so you can choose to open the first 4 carriages rather than all the doors (since sdo doesn't work in this route) All release means just that, release all doors on that side of the train. This is a hangover from the dev most likely using 377 as a base to edit from but that's speculation on my part.
I suppose that makes sense. Thanks for that. I wonder if that is in fact the case with the real train or something thats carried over as you say
Well it’s definitely better on Xbox Series X but we’re not quite there yet. Did a run from Stratford and got as far as Camden Road before the textures went blurry. This was about half an hour in so definitely an improvement as it used to be 2 minutes, but obviously still not right. Would say performance felt better overall.
Series S: so far there’s less stutters which is nice but from Brondsbury park onwards so far, the textures have been very blurry. I know the series S has its limitations but I did not expect this much blur. update: I have attached a coupple more images, every bit of scenery is just blur :/ kinda regret buying this route now.
I was hoping that this patch would solve alot of these issues considering the patch notes stated blurred textures in particular. Will hold off on this route a little longer.
That‘s what I think too. I was surprised to read it in the patch notes, unless they are talking about another issue altogether. Will be reading the feedback for Cardiff with interest to see how that route performs on console. No more day one purchases for me without knowing how things run on Gen 9.
Unfortunately, pc players always get the benefits of optimisations and stable routes. Hopefully DTG can find some fixes and ideally make all routes and the game stable
I’m on ps5 and after update I’m still having passenger issues!!! But now all my passengers stay on board and don’t get off at any station on full route. Plus all the platforms are still very empty with only static passengers on platforms. But none are moving or getting on board train.
Mildmay Line - Improved passenger navigation issues. This is what DTG said was part of the update lol? So not sure what is happening with the passengers on this route.
Xbox Series X: Finally managed to finish full run from Willesden to Stratford without it crashing to dashboard!! But the textures are still just as bad even with layers turned off I'm still getting it. It's fine for the first 1-4ish stations then it will start up again. Mine start from the stop before gospel oak and don't ever go back to normal
I like this Route! But the one thing that really annoys and distracts me is the bouncy 378. Also some stopping markers are too far down the platform causing 1 car to over hang the platform
I don't get it with DTG. Are they testing this at all on stock consoles? Why put out patch notes saying you fixed something when you clearly haven't do they think we are idiots or something? It seems if they can't find bugs on a dev kit then it doesn't exist to them. Absolutely ridiculous at this point.
I'm discouraged by the route. I play on PS5 and still haven't had the motivation to complete the full journey because there's no movement of passengers getting on and off. They just stand at the station, and the number of passengers inside the train remains the same.
Updated buglist (PC) Issues: Track unevenness; as others have picked up on the track gets incredibly bumpy between Hampstead Heath and Stratford it seems. The scenery changes before your eyes - this could be my engine.ini to be fair however I've noticed it so I'm putting it here. The foliage especially doesn't pop in perse however it does move and change when you get closer to it. The warning horn seems quite clipped, needs more reverb, especially in external view. The cab blind once pulled down the area where you are able to click and drag stays at the top as if it were not deployed. The AWS/DSD/Vigilance switches cannot be changed whilst sitting like in other trains (minor gripe, obviously this is true to life but since it's available in prior trains I'll make note of it.) So tried out Mildmay again since the update on PS5. First run I tried all layers on from Stratford and got as far as Camden Road before the blurred textures came back. Second run from Willesden Junction I switched off the layers I mentioned earlier in the thread and had no blurred textures. While there is a definitely a core issue ultimately causing the blurring I would still say it's the volume of layers that tips it over the edge to be very persistent on this route compared to others. The frame rate was generally a bit better on both runs with obviously the second one being better. As Ivy has mentioned the light baking issue under Dalston Kingsland bridge is improved but still a bit too bright in daytime (not tested at night yet) I have passengers getting on and off at the start of a run (i.e. at Stratford or Willesden Junction) but then nothing for the rest of the journey including at the end. So not quite there but aside from some of the minor issues mentioned in Ivy's post I'm not sure there's much more Johannes can do until DTG addresses the core issues. Nevertheless there's some good drives on this route and it is still great being immersed in the city throughout.
Quite frustrating how the update did little to nothing to change significant issues with the route. DTG really let down this route and over a week later, we still have countless issues with the route. Thanks for gathering all the bugs by the way, didn't realise the route was so buggy...
That’s quite the list, thanks for putting this together. Most of these issues wouldn’t be too bothersome on their own, but this is just death by a thousand paper cuts.
I notice one of the roof fans (I assume A/C) on the DMSO is off centre, this is on the end closest the the MSO. I know its a super minor detail but it should still be corrected.
Identical to the two posters above, just tried a run from Stratford in PS5 Pro and the blurring kicked in at Camden Road for me too. Seemed to improve marginally at times where the train exterior would look normal, but reverted back to blurring pretty quickly… also had issues when flipping into the cab view, where the controls would load in as polygons before settling Frame rate seemed fine throughout
I've just completed 5J38 Gospel Oak to Willesden TMD and when departing Willesden Low Level Platform 2 there is no shunt signal so the 3 aspect signal remains red but the 2D map shows a green signal to proceed onto depot. I use Xbox X so not sure how to show this in pictures
