    Hi everyone,

I just wanted to ask whether announcements for locomotive DLCs, such as the Class 390 Pendolino, are still on the way. I thought I’d read that these would be added later when the Birmingham–Crewe route released back in October 2025. At the moment, the Pendolino has lots of great routes, but these features are still missing. For other DLCs, such as the BR 101 Expert, I’d love it if announcements could be added too, perhaps as an update or something similar.

Yes, there are mods and so on, but I play on the PS5 and would love it if this were possible for us console players too. Of course, I understand if the effort involved would be too great; it just occurred to me that there was something else planned for the Class 390, or at least I thought there was.

    Cheers

As usual with Dovetail, take any announced updates with a pinch of salt until they are in front of you in the game. Never expect any bug to be fixed or promised feature to be added.

i’ve never seen a game take such a wildly inconsistent approach to legacy content, so don’t get your hopes up. the 390 was meant to get announcements in a patch nearly a year ago, but they got removed from the patch before it came out and there’s not been a peep about it since

Pretty sure they claimed the note in the patch notes was added by accident and the 390 won't be getting them...

Ah what a shame. Would it be a lot of work to update this things on a unit like the 390?

Suspension is still missing on LIRR yet I'm sure it was planned.

It seems nonsensical that the training centre class 323 has it but ones in the game, the ones you actually drive on the routes don't. Yet ATS managed it and there is a mod on TSC for the Centro liveried one so someone in the community manages it.

Why did the 314 not get suspension when the 313 did?

Why has the 710 not got it when it is a relatively recent train and it layers onto a route where the other trains have it?

It just seems to be the usual inconsistency.

It’s all a byproduct of annual releases.

You have annual release No.1 that wasn’t in development for long enough & work has to continue post release. During this time annual release No.2 is in production. No.2 is on the same timescale except now you’re also working on what was left over from No.1.

Things from No.1 never get fully completed as you needed No.2 out, but because of the work that was done on No.1 you now have backlogs in No.2 - however now you’re post release on that & have No.3 to work on. That cycle has continued since the release of RushHour & we’re now at TSW7 & we’ve been shown 66% of the content, which all has things that “will be delivered post release”.

DTG is trying to role play as Microsoft & EA with annual releases because they want the money so bad. What they aren’t doing is investing enough back into development teams & working on a stable core to build on. The end result is a mountain of unfinished items that clog up the pipeline making the game less stable, all whilst the publishing goal is to keep building more & more.
