    I like it and would welcome it, I Would just ask that they add the Matlock branch, not sure about 10 stations route in only 45miles of track..or they could also add Nottingham to Chesterfield as well with this, then with route hops for MML

    It would be nice but reading between the lines I get the vibe SHG are either no longer interested in doing routes, or haven't got anyone on staff for that side of things.

    That would be better going to Birmingham rather than Doncaster IMO

    Birmingham to Derby is 36 miles, Sheffield to Doncaster is 16 miles.

    Birmingham to Sheffield would top out at 64 miles. That would increase the development time and cost significantly.

    It may not be SHG's fault - I got it on an 801 - 801234 - on the rerecord scenario. Don't know if it was always like that in the scenario, but know the issue was fixed at one point in timetable mode. If it's reverted back, could maybe be a core thing - idk

    This would be great to see. Especially if we had the branch from Nottingham to Chesterfield via Langley Mill as well for the Northern services to meet up with the existing MML route.

    I see what you're saying, but if we're going for a route for the XC Voyager, it'll be best one where they're the main traction. Plus not all that many XC services go to Doncaster.

    I think someone is already making Sheffield to Doncaster as a passion project. Maybe Skyhook could look into integrating that into their route in the distant future.

    And still hits the brick wall there is little chance of getting a Cross Country license.

    Sheffield Leeds 17 services each way per day

    Sheffield Doncaster 6 services each way per day

    Obviously you’d see both lots between Sheffield and Swinton.

    As someone who's travelled from Doncaster to Chesterfield or Doncaster to Meadowhall on a couple of occasions, I'd like that, although I feel it'd be a bit weird as the route would almost feel split in half.

    Having said that, more Turbostar action and a potential 185 is always good in my book

    (Side note; that map skipping off Rotherham Central is pretty funny to me)

    Thanks for the suggestion. Sadly the reality of 'it just needs X' is never the case. Remember that you're running a scenery mod on MML so it's likely not what the vanilla version looks like. I've previously reviewed the Ratcliffe P.S. loop and to match the rest of the player areas on MML the entire site would need to be ripped out and rebuilt from scratch. Then there will be signalling implications. Then timetable implications. Then all existing gameplay needs retesting (base route and linked DLCs). It's significantly more work than 'just' raising a bridge and expanding the player boundary.

    I'd love to see a Class 56 or 58+HAA or GBRf66+HYA pack running around the site performing unloads, we've just not reached a project proposal that works yet. Cargo Line: Coal?

    But on a serious note as great as a Class 58 would be, it wouldn't fit in with the MML time period. You'd need to go with HTA / HYA wagons and potentially a GBRf Class 66. I guess the biggest "concern" would be are there sufficient spaces in the MML timetable to accommodate another 20 or so coal freight paths, and on other routes that would also have similar traffic.

    I really wish DTG or a third party would pick up the class 56. This is a glaring omission IMO.

    Given Matt’s revelations in another thread about survey results and the pressure from the bean counters to focus on the profitable, modern, eras I fear hell will freeze over before we see another classic diesel loco from DTG themselves.

    Could be rather sneaky and get a class 69, it's will have some of the soul of the of a 56 in game lol......
