I'm seeing I forgot that Vorarlberg also comes with an 185, will include this in todays small v1.11 update Forgot to provide some pictures, here's the changed Vectron camera. DEFAULT / NEW
Next up, the Talent 2. (BR 442) Though it's got no rain effects on DRA, I still think moving a little closer to the desk (should make use of its cutaway) and a little higher for better view through the window. DEFAULT / NEW
Thanks Spikee1975 these cab view mods are great! I was going to ask about the talent 2, must have read my mind lol
Also in the next update, improved the HRR BR 425, felt a bit too low. Moved the camera backward and up a little. DEFAULT / NEW
v1.14 Made some small adjustments to the BCC Class 323, slightly raised the view for better rain visibility. Also corrected the misplaced secondman cameras.
Did some tweaking on the Vectron, camera is not correctly centered horizontally to the desk cutaway, and lowered some more so it feels right. DEFAULT / NEW
Also in the next update is an improved view for the ICE 3. I found it to be a bit too high by default. DEFAULT / NEW
Next update will include the BRO BR 425 (raised and set back view) and the WCL Class 150/2 (moved forward and enabled 360° head turn) Class 150 DEFAULT / NEW BRO 425 NEW
Been busy again. Next update will include: - BR Class 40: although adjustable, the view didn't go high enough for my taste. Raised it a little. - GWE Class 166: raised for better view through the wiper in rain - DB BR 612: raised a little - DB BR 101: view was off-centered horizontally (too far left), adjusted.
Currently the ALP-46 doesn't feel right, so I'm moving a bit forward and a bit lower for a comfortable position. DEFAULT NEW
Also the Oakville Sub GP9RM has better view now. DEFAULT / NEW I'll wait with uploading because DTG will release a Vectron patch, so I'll include a new patch based on the update.
Also included in the next update, a proper camera position for the Class 52 "Western", which is way too low by default.
Got the DB BR 187 in a bundle for € 7.49, fair enough. Moved from the "standing position" to a proper seated one. DEFAULT / NEW
... big Steam update is incoming. I will base my next upload on the updated files, and see if it is compatible with TSW3 then. Currently 69 cabs are included in my mod.
Your mod appears to be one of the only ones that survived the horrid Oct 31st update from DTG that broke everything else. Congratulations!
In the announcements they said mods should now load properly again... I'm just removing my AssetRegistry workarounds and see if it loads correctly. Should then work for TSW3 too.
My game crashed on the first load after the update with mods, but every time afterwards it's worked fine, even managed to get some of the older TSW3 mods to work.
Wait for my update... . I'm just redoing the changes based on the new files (which are still unpacking in the background here), remove the obsolete TSW4 AssetRegistry fix, test and upload in a few hours.
Just to keep you updated, we're aware of the modding issues, and the team are investigating. We'll update when we have more.
My mod is still working. Now testing without AssetRegistry. Edit: Packed a version without the AssetRegistry reset - first it seemed to stall on loading TSW, but then it finally loaded. But - mods that modify the .umap stopped working (Bloom fixes for example). GodMode also non functional Starting TSW now takes more than a minute, and the loading circle freezes for ca. 30 seconds on my system. Edit: Steam update incoming... just seconds after I uploaded the mod I hope it's not broken... it is, reimplementing AR fix.... v1.19 uploaded (Got a TSW2 splash screen now )
v1.20 uploaded, a small typo in the KWG ICE1 (12 instead of 21) caused the position to be too far back, fixed that. That should be it now. All working fine again. GodMode and BloomFixes are back. Happy Halloween
As not everyone is happy with the new Class 43 driver position introduced in their Halloween patch, but some do like it, I went for giving you the choice to choose your position in the new update v1.21. The GWE Class 43 offers three cameras by default, a driver's view, a secondman's view (accessible from the driver's seat) and again the secondman's view accessible from the secondman's seat. I have modified the second camera, so just use left / right arrow to choose your desired seat height. Also applied for the MML HST. Enjoy! https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m...921-tsw4-cab-cam-improvements-all-in-one-v121 Camera 1 - Camera 2
Many criticise it, I just love Edinburgh-Glasgow and the 385. Moved forward to a real driver's point of view. DEFAULT NEW
Any chance you could do something for the Jubilee & 8f? I think the Jubilee is the worst, with the cab view needing to move significantly upwards and a bit back, it would be lovely to stop feeling like Krang from teenage mutant ninja turtles. Headout view also needs to move further out.
Just finished these two. Class 47 raised (better rain vision and more realistic height) TGV Duplex lowered, position was far too high for this one (check the seat's headrest ). DEFAULT NEW
FYI, just uploading an update (v1.24) to the mod which contains the latest official changes (DTG update) made to Vorarlberg's RVV files to stay fully compatible. Can't say when it's live, sometimes approval takes a few minutes, sometimes a day or two.
Do you take any requests for cabviews that need to be adjusted? Specifically older DLC that still works on TSW4?
Since I discovered the Metrolink repaints for the CalTrain Baby Bullet stuff, I've been running it more and more on the AVL and I noticed that the cabview of the cabcar is way too close. A lot of stuff is cut off when sitting in the default view. It almost has a feel of being zoomed in and I've found myself trying to zoom out a few times only to realize that it is zoomed all the way out. So I was wondering if it would be at all possible to move the view (or I guess "the seat") back a little bit. I think as far as up or down goes, it's good. I don't think it needs to move up or down. It really just needs to be moved back. For what it's worth, the MP36 view is perfect so that wouldn't need to be adjusted.
Spikee1975 I'm sure you know already but just in case, this is what I was referring to. I wish I had a screenshot handy of the cabview itself and what it currently looks like.
I don't know what's wrong with it, that's quite a realistic driver's viewpoint. All instruments in view, good height and window visibility... if it was different that's how I'd do it. Move back and your window view gets narrowed... and your head's already close to the back wall of that cab.
You know what's funny, in your screenshot it looks good. I don't know why I was thinking it needed to be changed. I mean, it's the same as mine is obviously, but for some reason I was thinking maybe it could be adjusted but it really doesn't need to be. I only have experience with what the Rotem view should look like (and obviously your fix makes it much better) and not the Bombardier cabcar view. But on second thought, yes, it is just how it should be. So never mind I guess! Lol.
Hello, I've been following your mod for a while and I love the changes you made, they improve the driving experience a lot. I'd like to ask, have you also considered adjusting the Amfleet Cab Car from NYT? I feel like it's too high and like the Rotem cab car, you can't see that much especially the signals when the visor is down. The speedometer is hard to read as well from the default position.
Thanks! I'll check that out... Love that cozy cab. It's about alright, but we can move a little bit down, yeah. I'll move it so the horizon will be approximately at the green line, to have a better signal view. I think I'll go with that one
Just uploaded v1.25, including the Amfleet Cab Car. Also raised camera on PBO's Class 47 (felt like a kid looking over to my secondman) and moved a little closer to the controls in the Caltrain MP36 to give you a better view through the tiny wiper field.
Actually, if you can grab it on sale do. There's a good sound mod for it, and otherwise it's a pretty good engine- with a very well done MFD. Also of course creates AI diversity.
See post #116, it's already included in the mod. (I got it through a "complete your collection" bundle for €7). I disagree on it being a pretty good engine, it's too flawed. The headlight setup is wrong (Top marker only active using full headlights instead of signals), once you set up the lights in the MFD you can't turn them off again (after coupling for example), there's only "white/red" option but not off. Entering LZB in PZB "M" mode will have PZB reset to "U" when exiting LZB with ever blinking 55 indicator, and so on. The AFB has its own will too and is not prototypical. The only good thing is the model itself. If I were the guy that modelled the thing, I'd be pretty angry about what the scripters and sound team did to my work... (and leave the company for good )
The Class 313 for ECW also has a proper camera now, raised this one. I've also made small adjustments to the BR 628 (a tiny bit to the right to please my OCD).
DTG and partners are keeping me on my toes... Edinburgh Glasgow received an update, also affecting the RVV file of the 385. I have updated my mod (v1.27) to stay compatible.
Just uploaded Update v1.28. Today's DTG patch changed RVV files of DCZ, NID and PBO. I have updated the mod accordingly to include these changes.
