The Tōhoku Shinkansen between Sendai and Morioka is a high-speed railway through the heart of northern Japan. Running at speeds of up to 320 km/h (200 mph), the line passes through cities, forests, rivers, and mountain scenery, offering beautiful views in every season. Served by the Hayabusa, Hayate, and Yamabiko services, it provides a fast and reliable link across the Tōhoku region.

    LENGTH:
    111 MILES

    STATIONS:
    8

    SAFETY SYSTEMS:

DS-ATC (Digital Shinkansen Automatic Train Control):

This section of the Shinkansen uses a modern cab-signaling system. Instead of traditional signals, the DS-ATC system continuously calculates an optimized speed profile based on track conditions and the real-time position of preceding trains. It automatically applies brakes if a driver exceeds the set safety and speed limit.

    ROLLING STOCK:

    E5 SERIES SHINKANSEN (NEW)
    Screenshot_20260726_211351_Discord.jpg

Built in 2011, the E5 Series Shinkansen is one of the most commonly used shinkansen types in Japan. This would be the first Japanese high speed train in TSW, with it being able to hit its maximum speed of 320kph (200mph)

    STATIONS:

    MORIOKA
    SHIN-HANAMAKI
    KITAKAMI
    MIZUSAWA-ESASHI
    ICHINOSEKI
    KURIKOMA-KOGEN
    FURUKAWA
    AND SENDAI

    SCENERY:

The route itself leaves the bustling metropolitan area of Sendai and passes through cities, forests, rivers, and mountain scenery, offering beautiful views and scenery within TSW.

    WHY THIS ROUTE?

    - very long length of 111 miles
    - builds upon the amount of Japanese routes the game has to offer.
    - features the world famous shinkansen bullet train.
    - Introduces the build up, city areas of Japan.

    PRICE:

as this route would only have one train, and appropriate price would be £29.99

    Thanks all for Viewing

Nice suggestion but so far as we know only UW are doing Japanese routes and have just taken nearly three years to deliver Tadami in an as yet unknown state. So it could be a long time coming and I suspect if we see another JP route it will be an urban/commuter route jumping on the popularity of Running Train.
