Where the route crosses over I-280, just west of Orange, traffic is present but is unfortunately driving on the left, UK-style.

Edit: the road striping is wrong as well, but I don't get fussed about road striping in TSW because those mistakes are everywhere and not really worth the effort.

However, something I did notice was the infamous "East 2" and "City/Downtown/Services" overhead signs on I-280 in Harrison where it runs just north of the tracks. This sign is meaningless garbage. I noticed that the Mass Pike got nice signs in BOW, but we didn't get that here. Of course this portion was recycled from the original NYC route so that explains it, but I would prefer at the very least that this nonsense sign is just removed to leave an empty gantry than to ever have to see it again. It's a real eyesore.

I have some observations about the safety systems that I am wondering about. Sometimes I will brake to suppression and silence the alarm, but then I release the brakes too early and the alarm sounds again. What I have found is that I have to brake to suppression again to silence the alarm, even if my speed has by this point dropped below the target. I guess what I want to know is whether or not this is correct. It seems to me that you should be able to silence the alarm if you are under the target speed, no matter what state your brakes are in. But perhaps this is just how these trains are set up?

Something else that I am pretty sure is wrong is that I occasionally have to activate the brakes to clear an alarm even if I am already under the target speed. For instance, I was driving at 28 mph with no ATC enforcement and then passed a signal for ATC at 45 mph. I could not clear the alarm until I made a minimal brake application, even though I was already travelling much slower than the restriction. I would also note that I did not need suppression to silence this alarm, just a minimal brake application. Also, I thought I was supposed to get 8 seconds to react to an alarm, but in my experience it has been more like 6 seconds, which can make a big difference when you are trying to time the brakes just right. Overall the signals and safety systems on the route are excellent, but I am starting to think that the alarm might need a little polishing.

Also I know this has already been mentioned, but perhaps is worth repeating, that the alerter for the Arrow seems to just be going off on a timer, like Sifa. I don't know if that's correct or not but the general consensus seems to be that it is not and may need to be looked at as well.

    1. So IRL, if you are in suppression and you accidentally release from suppression before you are under target speed, you SHOULD be getting an instant penalty brake. That means this specific behavior in the game is incorrect. I guess be glad it doesn't do that to you in the sim and that you even get a second chance to suppress lol.

    2. I personally have not encountered this issue. I will frequently brake in anticipation of cab drops I know are coming, and I am always able to silence the alarm just by pressing the acknowledge button if I'm already under the target speed. What equipment are you seeing this with?

    3. This is an issue I ticketed weeks ago, so in theory, DTG should be aware of this. Feel free to ticket again if you think it's necessary.
