The Class 377 and Class 387 which will be for Brighton Main Line are electrostars. The difference between the two trains aren't massive. The 387 has a pantograph and the arrangement of the seats compared to the 377 are different as well. The difference between them aren't massive tbh
I still wish we were getting the 421 slam door. The great thing about BML is that it's been 3rd rail for what 80 years? So it's virtually timeless and you can put just about anything on there without it looking out of place. How about the Brighton Belle?
Yes!! I would much rather prefer one modern train and one slightly older one. It gives the route more variation than simply making 2 trains that are almost identical.
