Hi, I recently started a new youtube channel called The SimTrain Tube.

In it I plan to do a scenario per video, mostly in 4k if I can, (some routes are more demanding, so on occasion I may have to fall back to 1080p).

I'm going to make video's in a variety of styles, some will be in cab view only, while others will focus more on the exterior views and will also be edited more to make them shorter.

And lastly, I will also do video's without using the hud, as inspired by PTGRail, (I'm sure you've heard of him;))

So, in short expect longer video's (possibly without the hud) on Saturdays and shorter ones on Sundays. Real life stuff could obviously get in the way, but I'll try to keep to this weekend schedule.

And of course I very much appreciate comments, likes and subs:)

Looks great! Really nice work and smooth running videos.

I’ve had some PC performance issues with my laptop recently, and I feel a bit gutted that my Nvidia graphics card isn’t currently giving the output that it should.

This is the 2nd scenario that comes with the Weardale & Teesdale Network add-on, in it I drive a BR class 101 from Bishop Auckland to Darlington stopping at all stations.
I've also purchased the Armstrong Powerhouse soundpack pro for this train, so you will notice quite the difference in sound compared to the previous video where I still used the default sounds that come with the route.

DLC needed for this scenario, (You can get it at 60% discount for the next 29 hours at the time this video was uploaded): https://store.steampowered.com/app/27...

    Optional: https://www.armstrongpowerhouse.com/i...

Lastly, if you enjoyed this video, don't forget to hit the like button, and subscribe for more. (Click the bell icon next to the sub button, to get all notifications).

I’d be interested to know, what recording software are you using?

Also, out of interest, are your settings maxed out to get this to run in 4K?

    Cheers & nice vids!

Hi, I'm using power director 15, and for most routes the in game graphic settings are maxed out,
on occasion I turn off dynamic lighting though.

Nice! Good Luck on this. Is editing on power director easy and does it handle rendering smoothly? What are your PC specs?

It looks to me as if you have gone for a shorter lens than you usually get in TS. Is that correct or do you just get a wider view in 4K?

Yes, editing is very easy with power director, it is also very fast.
Edit: As of right now I'm using Pinnacle Studio 21.5

    I'm using a i7-7700k @4.20 GHz with 16gb ddr3 ram and a gtx 1060 gpu.

Are you referring to the cab view?
I've adjusted the fov by adding this "-SetFOV=85" into steam's launch options.

Yes- I thought so. I tried that myself once and perhaps I imagined it but it seemed to slow things down. Makes sense I suppose- wider view=more scenery, more scenery=more work for the GPU.

    Cheers.

A prototypical scenario on the GEML London to Ipswich route, from Colchester Town to London Liverpool Street.

    Required DLC for this scenario:

    AP Class 360/444/450 Sound Pack
    DTG GEML London to Ipswich
    AP Class 90/Mk3 DVT Pack
    DTG Settle to Carlisle
DTG West Coast Main Line North
