No, TSW3 taught me to avoid that feature, though after I did hit the issue I did try to save the game to see if restarting would resolve the problem (if didn’t).
Loving this route!! Finally a route I feel completely satisfied driving. For me everything is so far on point and the mountains in particular are breathtaking. Please keep up this standard!
You know without meaning to sound patronising and please don't think I'm trying to provoke you but have you considered tinkering around with your LG settings? I know this sounds somewhat an obvious thing to say but I have had a very different and more satisfying experience altering brightness and contrast settings in particular and also highlighting reduce blue light setting in particular improved greatly my personal experience. I'm using an LG 4K T.V as well.
I'm quite happy with the update to TOD4. The original route was far too dark and brownish for my taste. In some occations it was impossible to drive properly, especially in very dark cloudy conditions. The tree section round Pristewitz was way to shady for my taste, even at high noon. Now it is much better. But this is a matter of taste, obviosly. A big thanks of mine to Mike Goltz who updated all the headlights to TOD4, even those of the ICE 3 BR 406 which had no regognizible light cone in front of the train at all in all legacy routes. Same with the BR 112. Here it is possible to drive both trains at night with no problem, which wass't the case before. Volumentric fog also looks great, especially at Meissen by night. For me this update is a big step forward. And the performance is as good as that of the old version, everything is running smooth, at least on my Xbox Series S. But it is a little bit of shame that there is no slightly updated timetable, f.e. with the ICE 1. This masterpiece of DLC would have this desverd this. Whatever, it's my favorite route beside LFR.
Yeah I think the route looks a lot better, my only qualm is that the signage no longer seems to be reflective. I don't know if it is a bug or if I set something up wrong, but I didn't notice any change when I tried it with different .ini configs.
Yes, I have noticed this too! It’s a shame, really, it was such a great addition to TSW and it seems to have been gradually phased out of newer routes. Now it’s even removed from old ones. Sorry DTG Matt , for tagging, but could you explain why this great feature seems to be such a problem to incorporate? Is it technical problematic or more a capacity issue?
It’s nice that the DBpbzfa intro is now playable, though it’s still a bit fragile. The first time I played it didn’t recognize I’d gotten up to speed (despite getting close to the rail limit) and had to stop at the red light past the end of the platform you’re supposed to stop at.
I have found you can't walk down the steps no more at at least several stations now. Grosbain for one and one or two close to it I think. So the only way to get to the other side is to walk on the track.
The Dostos in "Tag der Arbeit" scenario have no liveries just white and one grey one. Bug or intentionally?
The signals need to be brighter at daytime. Not by much, just make the lights bit brighter They are just tiny colored dots and hard to see under certain lighting conditions
In case anyone is interested, I updated the Vmax-Freight calculator for Dresden-Riesa (the one that combines OpenMinded 's Buchfahrpläne and my brake setting, PZB mode and speed limit calculator) to include the BR193 Vectron and the Eanos cars as well as the new freight services in DRA. As always, it is provided as BETA and free of charge and of any liability. You can download it from my discord (invitation is valid for 7 days, if you need a new one, just let me know). If you find any bugs, errors or inconsistencies, please let me know. If you would like any more specific vehicles (locos and freight cars) included, let me know. I will do my best (as soon as Epic Game Store will finally re-grant me access to my legacy DLCs). The use of the sheet is demonstrated along with an explanation of the most important underlying regulations in a video I made at the time. There is also a video tutorial covering the Hl signalling system to go with it.
I'm getting the old bug or random spawning again. Anytime I select an RE18 service in the BR143 I will spawn randomly anywhere in the route. The train will be in the correct location but as the player I can end up anywhere. This is on PS5.
Hi, Is it normal on Nahverker Dresden that the PZB Frei key is pretty useless at some places ? For example when departing from Coswig, going to Cottbus or Meissen Triebischtal you are under the influence of a 500 Hz magnet, then you go though the green Hl1 signal meaning to resume driving at full speed as soon as you pass the signal. But when going through the signal you get a 1000 Hz restrictive mode 45 km/h influence that you can't free yourself from, even when the 1000 Hz icon turns off. By pressing PZB Frei you still have a restrictive 45 km/h. You have to wait for the speed restriction to diseappear by itself. There are some other places where that happens. Is that a bug or did I miss something ? On the other routes, as soon as you go through a green signal, the 1000 Hz indicator turns off and you can press PZB Frei to cancel the speed monitoring.
This is actually a bug on the display the Talent 2 and the Traxx 2 locos use. After the yellow 1,000 Hertz lamp turns off, you CAN actually release and won't get stopped by a penalty brake if you accelerate beyond the 45 km/h (at least this is my experience). Incorrectly, the text message "v-Überwachung 45 km/h" doesn't turn off, though.
This is one of the bugs which makes it currently so hard to drive with an reduced HUD. It’s possible to use the MFD's PZB indicators, but sometimes confusing. It’s a bit of a shame - on one hand driving with a reduced HUD is strongly promoted by new features and HUD settings, but on the other hand such long term errors or bad lighting is the reason it’s not really possible to do that. An other example on DRA is the ICE 3 (BR 406) where the PZB and Sifa indicator lights are much too dim during daylight. In my opinion DTG should take care of those details to support the idea of the new mini HUD which I really like.
To add to the list: The ICE3 on SKW uses a display that doesn't distinguish between restricted and normal monitoring (it is missing the "Wechselblinken" of the "70" and "85" indicators during restricted monitoring, that was re-instituted on this kind of display). All in all it is totallly possible to use PZB without the HUD and the Helper (that sometimes confuses more than it clarifies), imho, but I admit it makes getting into it even harder.
Yeah I remember it well. I was under the impression that it was fixed seeing as the route has been "upgraded" for TSW4.
Can not move Bnrzdf 463.0 n wagen after deployng in freemode near Dresden HbF. Is it broken or do I operate anything wrong? (using video manual) found solution - in attached BR 110 reverse key should be set on off position
On the left Screen in the lower right Corner there is a button that looks like a speedometer. Press this when you are standing still. You then have to set your desired Speed and confirm it by pressing the tip of the Lever.
after 17 th october Update I can not insert and activate the reverse handle in 766,2 DB in the freeroam mode with the previous save
This route is worse now on series x. Shadow pop in everywhere, behind the train, in front of the train, the sleepers, the rails, the tree shadows. WTH?
This route was given the new lighting from tsw3 that launched with sehs, Cajun pass and wurzburg. The older lighting model had issues but it wasn’t as prominent as this. I was playing London commuter that hasn’t had that lighting model added yesterday and there was less pop in
What is totally bugged? Would recommend you read this thread regarding the 101 and follow the steps. The afb works. You just have to set it up properly https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/tsw3-br101-changelist.58759/
Thank you! That was an interesting read. I was using the TSC manual because that was the only one I found. Got it working now, still wondering though why when I got it working the other day (before posting my previous reply) on the 10:01 service it didn't speed up from 50 to 80 km/h shortly after the right turn near Dresden Mitte, anyways, thank you again.
it’s not an automatic system, if that’s the issue you were having, each change must be done by changing the set speed on the lever.
I know cmon haha. I did set it to 80 km/h, it just didn't want to accelerate. Eh, not a biggie, happened only once.
I had a red light issue when I launched the Dresden to Riesa freight service at 09:40. On the avoiding lines, several trains were stuck ahead of me. We seemed to be behind a 101 service that was stalled at signal 1107 just before km 22.0: It appears to be on, but not through a 2000hz magnet. Is there some way it is stopped at the red it just tripped without a SPAD? Edit: I was driving the Vectron on PC and I have all the German DLC.
Can anyone test this on Xbox? Just been in this the last few days running various services and it feels like the performance has taken a hit. Seems like it’s stuttering a lot.
I‘m on Xbox Series S, and DRA is performing very well, no stutters like on BRO or LFR, everything is okay. The new TSW4 content like Vorarlberg and Westfrankenbahn is running smooth, too (except a noticeable frame drop at Feldkirch station).
I played the 'Dresden Diversion' scenario yesterday and noticed that once I came out of Photo Mode, it placed the FOV under the map, I have a solution temporary workaround but this needs looked at Solution Temporary Workaround: Go into Free Camera then back into first person camera to fix the issue Tagging DTG Alex and DTG JD to pass this on to the team prior to the holiday season beginning
Thanks all, I wonder if its a problem at my end then? Should have said im on Series X with 4k enabled.
Chemical Plant Zone has a bug. Whenever you uncouple from the first load in chemical plant, move forward it tells you to drive in reverse to the other side of the second batch of tankers. The track doesn't switch so you can go around them, and even if you try to switch it via the map or getting out of the train it switches back, forcing you to the track with the tankers. Cannot complete because of this.
I´ve just driven (again) this scenario. There´s nothing wrong with it, at least on my side. You deliver the first rake of tankers, uncouple and run around the second rake, couple up, drive up to the Weissig yard. Couple the 185 back and go home to Riesa.
Does anyone have the problem that you are in the train station Freiberger Street has no light? Ps the photo was taken on the ps5
We´ll see. Don´t bet your life on it that they will! For now they broke it in TSW4. This was working in TSW3 with DRA being one of the best routes with reasonable night lighting. Ah well ...
personally I believe this is my most played route, so much variety and all... when I dont know what route to play, I usually select some loco and head over to this one... loving the fact it has two different branches besides, but also different paths for regional, regional express and freight/IC services... an expansion to Leipzig like in TSC or so, maybe sth with actual LZB section, would be greatly appreciated
I may be late to the party, but I only spotted this today... The station route maps (at all DRA stations as far as I can see) incorrectly show Neusörnewitz station, which is not on the Dresden - Riesa route. (It's the first station on the Meißen line, branching off at Coswig, which is not shown on the route map. Yet.)
(First post on the forums!) I happened to notice what seem like Eurobalises (for ETCS) on various stretches of track in DRA, and I have 3 questions: 1) Were they present before the update for TSW4? 2) Are they active and, if so, what function do they serve? 3) Is there anyway for us to interact with them and, if not, are there any plans to make that possible?
