    Hello everybody,

I would like to propose a highly detailed, incredibly busy, and scenically stunning Italian route, centering around the metropolitan and regional services of Naples (Napoli).
This route would be perfect as Italy's first route for TSW as, with just a small number of train types, it would still feel very busy and entertaining, and it would also include a very important station like Napoli Centrale without it feeling too much like an empty ghost town.

As you can see from the map above, this route proposal covers 42 stations and roughly 140km of regional, suburban and urban network.
It combines heavy metropolitan transit with beautiful coastal running. Aside from the amazing views and the different styles of services you can run (which are features common also in other TSW DLCs), this route would offer the possibility to do up to 5 complete end-to-end services.

(Villa Literno/Aversa to Napoli) Starting from Villa Literno, it runs east through agricultural and suburban landscapes, passing major commuter hubs like Aversa and Casoria-Afragola, and funneling down into the Naples bottleneck towards Napoli Centrale, one of the biggest stations in Italy.

(Passante ferroviario di Napoli) This is the heart of the route. It acts as an underground/urban railway (Naples Metro Line 2) but is operated by the national railway (Trenitalia). It features extremely tight tunnels and underground stations like Napoli Piazza Cavour, Montesanto, and connects the main station to the city center before reconnecting with the mainline in Villa Literno.

(Naples to Salerno) The historic line towards Salerno. This section is breathtaking. It runs right along the coast of the Gulf of Naples, at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, passing through historic stations like Portici-Ercolano (the site of Italy's first railway). After splitting in Torre Annunziata, one line ends in Castellammare, meanwhile the other continues towards Pompei, and eventually hugs the cliffs near Vietri (located on the Amalfi Coast) before terminating in Salerno.

The first photo is an Italo AGV 575 in Vietri (Salerno on the background), the second is a Frecciarossa ETR 500 in Portici-Ercolano. Both of those photos were taken while the HighSpeed line Napoli-Salerno was closed.

    Services Included:
Napoli S.Giovanni Barra - Napoli Campi Flegrei/Pozzuoli Solfatara
    Metropolitan (End-to-end)

Castellammare di Stabia - Napoli Campi Flegrei
    Metropolitan (End-to-end)

    Salerno - Napoli Campi Flegrei
    Metropolitan/Regional (End-to-end)

    Salerno - Napoli Centrale
    Regional (End-to-end)

Villa Literno - Napoli Campi Flegrei
    Regional (End-to-end)

    Napoli Centrale - Caserta/Cancello
    Metropolitan (Playable up to Traccia)

    Napoli Centrale - Roma/Formia - Gaeta
Regional (Playable up to Villa Literno)

    Napoli Centrale - Benevento/Caserta
    Regional (Playable up to Aversa)

    Napoli Centrale - Sapri/Eboli
    Regional (Playable up to Salerno)

(I have not included HighSpeed or InterCity trains that runs on those lines and only stop at 1 or 2 stations)

    Rolling Stock:
    ETR 104 "Pop"
It is the backbone of Napoli's (and Italian) metropolitan and regional services.

    ETR 425 "Jazz"
An older train found on most regional and metropolitan lines.

    ALe 426/506 "TAF"
Italy's first EMU designed exclusively for regional and commuter services, it is now being slowly faded out.

    ETR 521 "Rock"
They are the new generation of italian double-decker trains and dominate most regional lines.

These 4 trains would almost complete the local rail scene but I know it is unrealistic to get 4 new trains with a single DLC. The one that could be sacrificed is the "TAF" as it is the less common one. Without it the rail scene still wouldn't feel empty or dead, just less diverse.
Of Course HighSpeed trains such as Italo or Frecciarossa play an important role in Napoli's congested rail hub, but would get no services and would be useless; the same would more or less happen with other trains, such as the E 464, Italy's most common loco, so thats why I have not included those.

Thank you for reading all this, let me know if you like the idea, if you think it need some improvements or you think Italy's first TSW route should be something else (we are in such desperate need of an italian route in this game).

P.S. I wanted to start trying to make this route on the editor but i have no experience and I'm busy with school most of my time. Although if someone would like to have a go at it, I can get all the info, reference photos or stuff you might need, so, let me know and we can work toghether!

I have made a timetable showing most services that you can run on those lines (I have not included Intercity, Highspeed and Shunting services). They add up to just under 400 services, varying from 20m to almost 2h. All those services would be driveable with just these 3 or 4 trains I've talked about in my suggestion.
